Pretty sure Jenkins flopped to try to get a flag. DBs are getting better at flops to get OPI

The contact was mutual.  Jenkins decided to stop playing while the TE forged ahead and caught a TD.

How many TDs in 2 weeks is this for Jenkins?

Hed look so nice making $8.5m per next to Gerry.

I don’t even know where to start on how bad this team is... Everything about them sucks.

Punter is pretty good.

This is from that same link on page 418 about Gerry's abysmal coverage on the TD.  If you scroll down a bit you'll see this.  Now, I would be very surprised that this is actually Wentz's mom being this critical of Doug publicly.  Doug said when he was hired that he would be calling the O plays so I don't think the statement that Reich was the one calling the plays is accurate.  However, I do think all the input he had into the O (which we have determined since his departure was way more than we thought at the time) made Doug's job loads easier.  I don't doubt that Reich designed and put together most/all of the O plays.  The O then seemed more creative and way less predictable, even with Doug going 'Andy' sometimes in his play calls.  Now and for the past few seasons, the O has lost that creativity and has been rather mundane.  One has to wonder how much input Doug had on play designs when Reich was here and if hiring all these O coaches this year was his way of trying to get the O to be more creative like it was then.  Though, too many chefs in the kitchen is rarely a good idea.

IMO, the issue with the O this season is a combo of O scheme, play calling, Wentz's poor play and lack of proper personnel due to both injury and the FO's inability to bring in quality younger talent and relying too much on older/injured players.  Just fixing one of these issues isn't going to be enough.  They need to realize that fixing one is just a start, the first step, and it's going to take at least a couple seasons.

We already know Reich didn’t call the plays in 2016 or 2017, so she might not be a great source.

But I think the difference here is, if you don't make a change Lurie has to look at the current landscape and say "Ok, we had a bad year but things are still generally headed in the right direction."

I don't think he can say that. The organization is regressing... drastically. He can't look at this thing and say minor tweaks salvage this.

If he values an arbitrary "3 years isn't long enough removed from a SB to make change" than seeing his franchise utterly collapse before his very eyes, then his priorities are twisted.

I just don't think he'll make a big change. I hope he does. Howie needs to go

And on that topic... does anyone know who should replace him??

I'm still happy we did not give him a new contract. He was the first vet that needed to be let go. There's many more still. If they had kept him then I fear they may have kept others

What an awesome play.

I don’t even know why teams cover more than 10 yards down the field against Brees anymore. Everything is 7 yards or less. Kamara made him look like a stud there.

You might be right, I just think it would be foolish. We've already changed the front office and coaching staff. That didn't work.

There's really no other change to make. I don't see any other option.

I may have broke something if that was against Eagles

Not sure what was better there...the running talent, the blocking, or the utilization of the blocking by Kamara.

I was thinking the same thing. Everyone says Brees can’t and doesn’t throw downfield at all, which has been true. You would think they wouldn’t have so much space underneath.

Starting field position is a huge problem

Missed Reagor on PR.  The Eagles strategy has been to use Ward on all PR inside their own 20 and be more aggressive returning in neutral or positive position, hence Jackson being back there on the first PR today.

I like Ward as a slot WR but don’t like him much as a PR.  He’s pretty much a fair catch — even if he doesn’t call fair catch.

The Bengals’ punt late in OT was an absolute killer. Deep and to the sideline. Just a perfect punt. I thought for sure we were gonna win until then.

I see they are already polishing next week’s SNF turd.

I’d have to see it again, but I think Ward’s first two steps killed any return.  He had a bit of room, and simply stepped sideways and back instead of getting a few yards.

Roseman has to be removed from player selection.  Let him negotiate contracts on the players that a legit football GM decides to bring in.  We need to get young and hungry again.  These old guys have already eaten and gotten fat and happy.  The NFL is a game of heart.  Those who want it most and have the leadership to bring that out of players are the teams that win.

I'm already making other plans for most of the Sundays left in 2020.

Just end it all now.

Speaking of player selection, I think WR has to be the pick in the first round again, all things being equal.  Jeffery, Jackson, and JJAW will all be gone next season and that leaves Reagor, Ward, Hightower, Goodwin and Watkins so far.  Teams need to score 30+ at will to win in the NFL now.

Very little money, if any, for free agents.  I was joking earlier, but I wonder if Howie gave any consideration to a JJAW for John Ross swap; we lost all our speed at WR in the last 2 games.

I would have been all for it, but this team is mentally soft enough. Ross doesn’t have it. He’s a shell of what he was as a prospect.

I don't want Howie kicking the can anymore. He's made some bad contracts(Jackson, Alshon) recently

Wow a defense forcing a turnover at a crucial point in the game. To know what that feels like...

No you’re not!

You'll watch Every week ... and join in the misery.😆

I will be happy to not watch next weeks game on a finicky stream that gives my computer tons of malware.

Can agree on that as well.  For some reason, I just think Lurie can't quite bring himself to get rid of Roseman.  He has made some good decisions and some bad decisions.  Overall, if he has to be here, I would prefer him in that roll.  Just negotiate contracts and let people who know football make football decisions.

Who’s a better team right now, Eagles or giants?
