Everyone knew that but Howie. It's disgraceful regardless of the reason, but Caplan and Mosher are adamant they let that December run convince them Wentz can grow and win with young guys because they'll rally around him so they had no interest in veterans.

It's why I said at the time I wanted them to lose out, I Fing knew last season would delude them. And I stand by the same thing this year. They need to get a top 5 pick. I don't care if they go on a little mini win streak this season at some point, nothing good can come out of winning games this season. Nothing. This team has no shot to win a SB, what's the damn point?

2017 was truly the outlier because Howie has been the same old pre-Chip Howie since. Bad move after bad move, wrongly evaluating his own guys, thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. They thought they were so slick drafting all those speed guys in the draft too. It was so amateurish. They clearly just took guys based on speed as an over correction of 2019, they didn't even try to hide it. Trying to be KC Chiefs 2.0. Real talent evaluators don't bother with over corrections, they just take the most talented player. They don't get cute.

He's gotta Fing go. Each year he stays he will cripple us more and more.

The 2017-19 drafts will always have the Joe Douglas caveat, right or wrong.

Gotta wonder how bad it would have to get for Lurie to start making changes. I mean if they win like 3 games Lurie couldn't just ignore that. Something drastic would have to happen. Since 2012, every majorly disappointing season has ended in Lurie making some kinda change. Reid fired 2012, Chip fired 2015....

Those seasons have also come on the heels of seasons where they also missed the playoffs. In other words, other than Kotite, Lurie has only made changes when a coach misses the playoffs in back to back seasons.

Doug gets more complicated since he has the Super Bowl on his resume. Does Lurie have more patience there?? Who knows?

Niners start at -3.5? What? What am I seeing here. These betting companies want to give me money.

I think it has already jumped to -6.

Yeah i think it has. Even so -6/-6.5 is crazy. SF win by more than 2 TDs.

Why on earth have we been flexed to SNF?

Where are you getting flexed in? We were scheduled to play on SNF.

Interesting question: so there’s 8 teams who are winless. Which ones do you think the eagles are better than right now? And which do you think they have a better long term future than?

i would say out of the jets, Giants, vikings, Atlanta, denver, cincy and houston that the eagles are only better than the jets, giants. Denver i could be convinced with lock being out.

as for long term, i would argue they are only better off then jets, giants and likely Atlanta (as i think when Ryan goes they are in trouble cause their defense sucks and they also don’t have great young talent). Could convince me of the Vikings.

Oh were we? OK apologies I hadn't realised.

The Eagles were the only nfc East team that didn’t lose yesterday.

yes as a collective we lost our pride, dignity, confidence, and self respect when we tied with the bengals on a punt but we didn’t lose in the W/L column.

No true... But then NY played SF who are a really good team and Dallas played Seattle who are a really good team. We tied with the Bungles, one of the bottom 5 teams in the NFL.

To be fair we are also a bottom 5 team in the nfl.

I assume you mean Wentz.  That's actually a great question.

The short answer is that it's very unlikely.  Concussions from mild impacts (in the grand scheme of things, that was mild) are very common...and complete recovery is very reliable.

But if he were to develop a post-concussion syndrome, sure, anything is possible.  People with post-concussion syndrome often struggle with returning to work and performing their typical job responsibilities.  They most commonly describe a fog, low energy levels, difficulty handling stress, and difficulty making quick calculations/decisions.

It's not that common and it may be a convenient excuse, but the shoe doesn't fit all that poorly.  Wentz is playing, by far, at a worse level than he ever did as a rookie.  He misses things all over the field, tenses up for gimme throws, and struggles to make reads.  It's not impossible that he has lingering issues.

Thanks

Yep you won't hear me argue that one! Right now that is without doubt.

I will be happy to not watch next weeks game on a finicky stream that gives my computer tons of malware.

I've just been listening to Reese through the website.

Sigh...

1. Seahawks

2. Chiefs

3. Ravens

.....

29. Bengals

....

31. Eagles

32. Jets

Is it UGLY? You're damn right.

Now instead of spending an ENTIRE week screaming about Yesterday, "try" preparing for San Fran.

Wuh WUh Wuh happened?

F Tha Polease .... Shame he was a commit.

Next week is the real test.

I didn’t even know you wrote this but i was thinking along the same thing. I mentioned it i my The good the bad and the ugly that the hit and concussion cause by clowney might just have Done more damage then we know about. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if that’s something that’s going on with him. It would make a lot more sense then he just forgot how to play quarterback and is severely regressing. I would also add on to what you said, a traumatic Life changing experience where it shook him can have a lasting affect on how you proceed with things and interpret what you are seeing out there. It doesn’t help if that’s occurring having a poor offensive line that he might not trust. It compounds that issue if that is indeed going on.

I think the Seahawks are top 5 but that defense is awful. that offense and Russell Wilson are top 3 in the nfl, I don’t think that team is in consideration for the best team in the NFL until their defense plays better. Their pass defense has given up 450 yards, 397 yards and 472 yards. That’s ridiculous. I get some of those teams had to throw the ball because they were behind but they’re giving up those large amount of yards it’s going to catch up to you. There’s gonna be teams that can keep up scoring with you and have better defense. Russell Wilson is the best quarterback in the NFL right now but that defense is going to wind up costing them a game in the playoffs.

I think the winner of the Chiefs and ravens game is the best team in the NFL.  I also have to give a lot of credit to the Packers.  They are averaging on the season 40.7 points per game

This team had multiple chances to put a bad team away yesterday but we decided not to. Peters might be cooked after all and the o-line penalties down the stretch were ridiculous. Doug needs to get this figured out quickly as well as figuring out what is wrong with Carson. This season is probably already done but I will remain optimistic for a few more games.

Definitely plausible.  I can almost see the fog around his helmet.
