I believe it helps them not to have to buy out his last two years of his contract. I could be wrong.

I did half heartedly suggest last week this would happen, and if Mailata doesn't whiff out there, I can see JP being allowed to quietly move on to the next stage of his career.  No shame in IRing into retirement and not tainting the legacy

As Eagles fans who saw him play and did a smidgen of analysis, yes. For the majority, they won't have seen him abused by the Bungle DEs all game last week, the narrative will be somewhat different.

Najee Harris is a 6-2, 230 college running back and made a better catch today on a wheel route than any Eagles WR has made in the last 2 years.

An interesting college quarterback I wouldn't mind seeing the Eagles bring in as a backup in a few years is UNC's Sam Howell.  Guy is really exciting to watch and just makes plays.  He's only a sophomore and he started as a true freshman last year.  I think he's a poor mans Baker Mayfield and would be a great guy for the QB factory.

 

Also, Jaylen Waddle or Jamar Chase please.  Seeing the scrubs we have this week it's clear Howie didn't do nearly enough to bring in WR.  The fact that we are bummed a 6th round draft pick isn't playing speaks volumes.
