Fulgham attacks the ball and uses his body so well. I'm getting some 2017 Alshon vibes from him. And most importantly, you can tell that Wentz trusts him. The lob TD into double coverage proves that. This season has been a disaster and I'm not expecting much, but I'm looking forward to seeing him develop with Carson more.

Someone refresh my memory... did we score on the drive that Sanders dropped that easy TD?

anyone have any idea when we might see any of these guys back:

Goedert

Lane

Seaumalo

Pryor

Reagor

I would love for him to continue the pace he’s on. It would be like finding a $100 bill on the sidewalk when you’re flat broke.

Was that the failed QB sneak drive on 4th?

I’m good with focusing on the OL as well. We still have what I believe is a quality prospect with Dillard. Mailata is developing nicely. Lane and Brooks are here for awhile. As is Seumalo.

We need a center/guard prospect. I think Herbig and Driscoll will be fine as backups.

But I’m not gonna sit here and say we’re good at WR because Fulgham has had three decent games and Ward continues to be a dependable JAG given the easiest job on offense.

I'm not ready to say that we're good at WR.  Reagor is a major Incomplete, Ward is absolutely a JAG and Fulgham is still a work in progress.  But, if Fulgham continues to show progress like he has and Reagor shows anything, OL becomes #1 priority, easily.  And I love Johnson and Brooks, but I dont think either is the answer beyond one, maybe 2 years.  I want to believe in Dillard and Mailata though.  I miss Big V.

Nope, went for it on 4th and 1 and got stuffed.

I want a vertical weapon in the slot. Or at least someone who can do something beyond six yards. Maybe that’s actually Fulgham.

I'll take either of the Bama receivers please!

I believe that was still in the first half, so no. That may have been the drive with the failed 4th down sneak.

His lone targeted incompletion was on that drive (I just looked it up).

So Hightower drops a 50-yard catch, and Sanders dropped what I think is a relatively easy TD. We still somehow scored 28 despite playing with only 2-4 starters the entire game on O.

its not,  it is partly because year in year out the eagles hope that old oft injured players will get healthy and stay healthy.

guys like Djax, Alshon, Peters.

When we talk about "luck" or training staff failures with injuries, first we need to eliminate over 30 injuries that were inevitable and laughable that the Eagles actually relied on these guys: Djax, Alshon, Peters.

Then we get into Brandon Brooks.  When you tear the achilles on one side, it's more likely to go on the other.  Howie still chose to make him the highest paid interior lineman in the NFL.  Was it as predictable as the 3 above?  No, but hardly some terribly cruel and unusual chance of fate.

Losing Dillard in camp, in whom apparently no one had any confidence in the first place, was bad luck.

Goedert/Reagor with significant but returnable mid-season injuries...par for the course.  Even throw Seumalo into that one.

A running back going down mid-game and not being able to return?  When does that NOT happen?  We just notice it more because our only good draft pick, ever, is that running back.

Lane Johnson is getting older and injury prone.  He had surgery late in the offseason and was brought back before he recovered, now is missing time.  We might be able to implicate the medical team on this one, but again, not necessarily bad luck here.

Howie built this roster.  The only blind siding injury was the one to Dillard...and one might argue the best left tackle they brought to camp is the one currently playing LT for us right now anyway.

I would trade the entire draft (other than the 2nd round pick) for Micah Parsons.

2nd round pick needs to be saved for another WR though.

this is why Im saying this team is going to end up winning a bunch of games later in the season. Wentz is just about back. Now, just getting a few of those guys back healthy its going to be a tough offense to stop. (this now all hinges on whether or not we have Sanders from here on out. Our only NFL worthy RB on the roster).

It’s still incredibly unlikely, so it is awful luck.

I had confidence in him.

No. That was the failed QB sneak drive. So that drop might as well have been a fumble or an interception. Because it was just as crippling.

I think people will be pleasantly surprised by Scott if our OL learns how to run block. We rarely create any space. That goes for screens as well.

We need to achieve serviceability at LB; don't confuse that with needing to mortgage the future to get one stud at the position.

i want to see what Elijah Holyfield has got at RB. The guy is a fricken monster.

Ridiculously Jacked Elijah Holyfield Picture Was Actually ...

I am tired of just hoping for serviceable at LB. I want a stud LB. They are huge difference makers for a defense.

I don't know.  Demeco Ryans blows out his Achilles in Houston.  Comes here, blows out the other.  Jordan Hicks... blows out one Achilles, then the other.   Now Brooks... one then the other.   Seems like a nasty trend, even if its unlikely elsewhere.  Here you can set your watch to it.  About 2 or 3 years later.

At this point, I want to see him at RG.

Patrick Queen played well today.

@HazletonEagle will probably tell you.  When one goes, the other is higher risk.

Yeah.

Its also common for ACLs too. To re-tear. Or tear something else.

But that doesn’t make it likely, which is my only point.

Marlin Jackson is another one Im pretty sure tore his achilles after we signed him. He had one before we signed him.

Ertz too...
