What happens if Glenn comes in and they slide JP back to RG.  Does JP give back some of his new contract?

I wouldn't count on it. I think it is Peters at LT for the remainder of the season or his health.

Unsure if it got posted but Doug basically said Djax is under load management which is why he didnt see the field a lot sunday

Bold strategy cotton

So Jackson is under load management and JJAW is under "Lack of talent" management.

The Eagles....the only team who drafts players with the hope they never have to play and sign players only save them for later in the year.

it’s going to be beneficial for the eagles have desean jackson late in the year more than what was one of their more winnable games on the schedule so late in the year is meaningful.

I'm not surprised because I knew at the time it was just lip service and trying to appease everyone, but not having Hurts active yesterday made Howie and Doug look like complete fools after they told everyone the logic of the pick was to do similar things with him that the Saints do with Hill. If there was ever a time to throw that wrinkle in, it was yesterday when Wentz was struggling and getting his brains bashed in. Maybe they activate him, but that pick was for pure insurance reasons and if they decide to move on from Wentz in the next couple of years. If that was the logic, fine, but don't try to fool people.

Is our drafting "lack of scouting” or "spin class”?

Yup.

I know but it just sucks that the Eagles have to save their best players so they don't get hurt early in the season.

The taysom hill was pure propaganda by the eagles to prove they were going to be more creative this year. In reality it’s been about hedging their bet with Carson and his health. I thought then it was idiotic to take a second round QB for gadget plays. He might have enough time in the system eventually to run some of those gadget plays and have a package but it was foolish to think he’d have enough time in the system, learning the QB position at a nfl level and playbook and the coaches would trust him with that type of package early in his career with how the offseason went this year with covid.

add on nothing like seeing the eagles spin on him. Leaking out he’s looked great in camp. If he looked that great you’d have trusted and wanted him to be the backup over sudfeld who has no future here.

Yo @Shocker54 this blunt be helping me get ova that loss shock man

Oh i was calling them out. What good is having him later in the year if later in the year has no meaning. That is one of the wins you want in the bank and should have won. Saving him probably cost you a game as you had to use more of Hightower and reagor and JJAW then you liked.

I’m going to look on the side of optimism and hope that the gameplan was very basic because of all the injuries and subs on the line. Once Lane is back, hopefully we will see more of the creative stuff that we’ve been told is coming from all these new guys they hired this year. If it’s the same old after that, I’m over Doug as it would be clear that Reich was the brains of the operation in 2017.

I'm convinced they thought this game was in the bag and wanted to showcase "the new" stuff against Rams.

It's something of a trend I've been noticing since the SB.

Doug and Co are a bit to smug for my liking.

I'm thinking IR Curry and James.  Promote Ostman and Trevor Williams from the PS to the 53.  (Not the one-week elevation they did with Opeta and McGill, who return to the PS today.)

Ostman and Williams were 2 of the Protected Four

McGill had a sack. Was solid when his number was called

Take away that 55 yard catch, everyone on here is calling Reagor a bust.

Man, I'm not sure JP/Seumalo weren't worse than the right side of the OL. Seumalo got shoved into Carson on almost every play.

Naw. He made a few rookie mistakes. Should've had a 75 yard td. There's optimism

If Sanders and Lane play, if the Eagles don't win, that should be a sign of things to come(if yesterday wasn't already). Under Doug, even as mediocre as they've been since the SB, they've still found a way to hang in there and give the fans some kinda hope. They'd usually always win when their backs were against the wall. Week 2 isn't technically "backs against the wall" but starting off 0-2 lowers your odds at the playoffs exponentially statistically. Plus it's the home opener.

And Doug has always owned McVay.

Remember Andy's last year, he finally lost that game out of the bye week where they got their doors blown off and then it was like yeah, this is probably a sign of things headed toward rock bottom.

This game has similar vibes, maybe just not as extreme. At least they have the Bengals the next week, but I think the Eagles the last couple years find a way to beat the Rams on Sunday.

I’d rather see the young guys get reps.  This team isn’t going anywhere.  I don’t care what they do with him at this point.  It was a desperate weak effort by the front office  to turn the clock back.

I can understand that. However doug isn’t going to give up on the season yet. If they came out and said that I’d be more about desean being benched and going young guns. Not that i disagree with you. I have felt they were a 8-8 team for a while. Actually think they might be worse if that’s the oline play we get all year with lane being in and out.

just pointing out could’ve just traded for Robbie Anderson and paid him likely less than desean. Yesterday 115 yards, td on 6 receptions for Carolina. He’s younger and only missed 2 games in his career.
