I know but it just sucks that the Eagles have to save their best players so they don't get hurt early in the season.

Same reason Aaron Rodgers didn't play yesterday. Oh wait....

If Sanders and Lane play, if the Eagles don't win, that should be a sign of things to come(if yesterday wasn't already). Under Doug, even as mediocre as they've been since the SB, they've still found a way to hang in there and give the fans some kinda hope. They'd usually always win when their backs were against the wall. Week 2 isn't technically "backs against the wall" but starting off 0-2 lowers your odds at the playoffs exponentially statistically. Plus it's the home opener.

And Doug has always owned McVay.

Remember Andy's last year, he finally lost that game out of the bye week where they got their doors blown off and then it was like yeah, this is probably a sign of things headed toward rock bottom.

This game has similar vibes, maybe just not as extreme. At least they have the Bengals the next week, but I think the Eagles the last couple years find a way to beat the Rams on Sunday.

Honestly wasn’t overly impressed with the rams yesterday. Their offense was basically run on first down. Run on second down. Then allow Goff to pass in 3rd and manageable. I also thought McCarthy pulled a Garrett. He left plays out there against the rams defense. He just didn’t stick with them. Like lamb was could’ve had a much bigger game but only got 6 targets. Also i thought the rams linebackers had no answer for zeke in the passing game.

i still Expect us to lose but i don’t think the rams are particularly great. Best team in the nfc yesterday was seattle or saints. Arizona had an impressive win but when you consider kittle got hurt and probably wasn’t 100 percent and you take away their best wr option in Samuel it’s much easier to defend sf

Take away that 55 yard catch, everyone on here is calling Reagor a bust.

Wrong.

Is that bad?

Yes, god forbid that the receiver make a play on the ball.

God forbid we ask our franchise QB to make a routine throw.

@VaBeach_Eagle

Don't know if this is a bug or troll, but this dude keeps posting "quotes" of me that aren't even things I said.

Clicking the arrow to go to the quoted post is me talking about Greg Ward

It's probably not a bug or it'd be happening to everyone, and he may not be a troll, it could just be not understanding how the posting functions work (on his part). The text in the quote box that looks like you said those things, may just be what he's posting as his own thoughts, but he's typing it into the quote box without realizing that it will show as if you said it and he's quoting what you said. I've seen people in the past that have done that without understanding.

Send him a PM and ask him not to post things in your quote box, and let me know if it keeps up after that.

Nah, he should just take sacks to knock us out of FG range.

Just heard a stat that teams that averaged fewer than 3.5 yards per play (Wash averaged 3.4) were 0-18 last year with an average margin of defeat of 20 points. 😶

Yah, I'm not worried about Reagor/DSJ.

well, you don't need that many yards when you're playing on the opposing team's side of the field most of the game.

Lol. That’s how I played NCAA Football.

I'm getting the feeling that the Wentz-Pederson relationship does not end well.

I'm thinking IR Curry and James.  Promote Ostman and Trevor Williams from the PS to the 53.  (Not the one-week elevation they did with Opeta and McGill, who return to the PS today.)

Ostman and Williams were 2 of the Protected Four

If a player moves from PS to game roster twice, he is staying on the roster.  McGill got a sack yesterday, which is good.  Is he worthy a roster spot yet?  Next game, they have to go thru the exercise again to move 2 players up and protect 4 at PS.  Since we are low on DE now, they may try Ostman to see what he can do.  Please also note the Avery was listed as LB yesterday and played.

That ends with Doug out the door

simple , they knew the oline had a rookie and a guy who never played at pro level and they had no preseason game work , and an old guy that nobody else signed at lt , so they sent the house at carson all game. not to mention coach and offense failed at running the ball.

Yuck.

I thought the Rams/Cowboys game was interesting to watch from a pacing standpoint...both teams were using the same pace throughout the entire game. There was a sense of comfort to the playcalling and lining up..neither team seemed to show a sense of urgency..I feel it must be disrupted to be successful. Goff does not handle pressure well, he forces things or flat out panics when met with people in his face. The Rams seem to game plan to keep Goff calm....The Eagles will only be successful if they change the pacing of the game on offense and get an early lead. They must also control the middle of the line and the field.

That's the kind of thing you would expect our $100 million man to do.  Few and far between anymore.

Perhaps, they did draft Hurts...

They're married to Wentz for awhile. Doug hasn't been extended yet

I think Wentz should have jukes those 2 linemen who immediately broke through and then thrown a TD pass instead of getting sacked

Honestly Doug just needs to STFU and put it on him.  Why give the media their pound of flesh.  The entire team looked like trash and they weren’t ready, and Doug got embarrassed

Does he really think Carson doesn’t understand the concept of throwing it away?  Maybe Doug should get his ish together so Wentz doesn’t have to get sacked/throw every other pass away

Instead he lets Wentz take the blame, as if Doug didn’t just take a dump and call it a game plan.

Maybe this is why Lurie feels the need to give Doug help, because he realizes Doug  isn’t a leader
