I've never watched NBA basketball in my life. Found myself watching the 76'ers tonight. There was play near the end of the game where Lebron left his man and went to guard another. I was like, "Why did he do that?". Then Maxey steals and goes the length of the court and I was like "OH!".

Are we sure Jordan is the GOAT?

No question. Never lost a finals series and played in the MMA days of the NBA vs the Pistons. No soft flopping fouls.

I have a feeling the clot in his leg moved and when they were doing further diagnosis they found out he also had clots in his lungs. It's all speculation but otherwise they would have said he had bilateral pulmonary embolism earlier in the week. This speculation would lead me to believe that he has issues with clots. Meaning, his career may very well be over.

If that's the case, I think it's easy to say he'll go down as the greatest QB in Eagles history.

Praying for QB1 the man. This is bigger than a game.

Yup, he's gonna have to make a heavy overpay to get what's missing here. They tried to do it with cash this Summer but got matched. But they have the draft capital and the extra wingers to do it. I think they will figure this out soon. Holding on to Risto this long has never made any sense. Agree ON York. They have to make a Lindros kind of trade, where you give up like 5 guys and draft picks to get a guy who is unhappy where they are at. You figure they are ready for that type of deal, but the opportunity does have to present itself.

I'd see where the picks land this year first. No reason to make a move like that during a horrible season. They aren't one player away either.

Finally, I have two schools of thought on what the Eagles should do. Either let it ride and take the early pick or blow it up and replace the staff. I tend to think they'll let it ride because they have in the past but that's not fun to talk about.

Letting it ride. The offense is a complete mess. We go through the year with the same staff. Mannion is in shark infested waters. Either he learns to swim and shows something promising this year or we flush him with the rest of the staff at the end of the year. In the meantime, we get a good pick in the draft and can add some much needed talent. I'm not encouraged by what I've seen so far but we could use a high draft pick for multiple reasons.

Blow it up. Fire Siri, Kuper and Mannion. Bring back Stoutland as OL/Run game coordinator. Bring in Doug as interim HC, yes that Doug, as "interim" HC. Bring in BDN as OC. Here's why. The OL is a mess and we need Stoutland to help right that ship. Bring back Doug because he's the only coach I've ever heard of that could rewrite a playbook in a few weeks. Bring in Nick as OC because he understands Doug and he'll understand what he's trying to do. Not to mention, Nick has great instincts which you can't teach as a play caller. They'll not only know how to fix what we currently have but how to tailor it to the players. This would give Nick a chance to get his feet wet. If it sticks we have our OC/HC for the future. We're playing with house money. The seasons done, may as well see if we can benefit from it by rolling a hard 6. Worse case scenario, we get a high pick and we tried something.

Why it won't happen. They fired Doug, I'm not sure if there is friction there that would prevent it. I don't see people swallowing their pride to do what's best for the Eagles. Not sure you could get everyone to say yes. I don't think it works without all of them.
