I'm sure as hell standing up and cheering he isn't playing though. No apologies!!! I wouldn't change a thing about what I posted. On a human level hope he heals fast. There doesn't need to be a disclaimer or a moment of silence before saying as a fan of the team HELL YES someone else is starting!!!! Is the "self reporting" situation funny? Absolutely and I'm not apologizing for finding humor in it. We don't have to be wound so tight.Do what you want. I’ll respond how I feel like.

We've seen that from past players. We currently have "quiet leaders" that I guess just trust somebody will step up.I dont think any team in the NFL has won more games that they should not have since 2023 than the Eagles. Pretty much any game they won in 2023 and several of the 2025 games....Siri and Hurts know how to win when they are struggling. So the quiet leadership thing may be working just fine. Both Siri and Hurts have plenty of experience at struggling with their game day job description on offense and plenty of experience with winning. I'm not trying to be difficult...I just think that is ironically what this maligned coach/qb combo do best.

It never mobilizes or chugs as hard as it does for a first round pick on a rookie deal after a horrible year.I'm not hyping him up. But when you spend a 2nd rd pick on a guy you expect to see him play at some point during the season. Not IR him because he needs to develop. How is he supposed to develop if he's on IR?

Kendall looks pretty solid and has been playing well. Need to see more of Lampkin, Bell, Morris, Majors before I can say if he added adequate depth or not. He may have hit on one or multiple of those guys.

October 6Oct 6 So he is still not going to shoot. What happens first that Simmons learns to shoot or cowboys make nfc title game?

I think it’s odd Howie isn’t even going into games with the full 53. And for some strange reason we are still carrying 4 QBs and EJ Jenkins. When actual talented guys like Majors should be on the roster. We also should’ve never let go of Cam Latu, he was the best blocker we had. Very dumb move

October 6Oct 6 The most noteworthy disconnect between informed and intelligent arm-chair GM fans and coaches is appreciation for player fluency with assignments.I understood that as a mediocre player once, forgot it, adopted more of a perspective of a fan that never played, and then listened to it in meetings again as part of medical staff. The funny thing is that it doesn't always mean that the coaches are the one with the right perspective. Coaches approach players entering the field of play as a graduated experience. If they do not feel confident a player knows what to do, where to break, how to behave out there...that lack of predictability makes them an infectious disease out there. Fans don't understand or respect the guard rails and training wheels that need to go up for new players getting thrown in there. But coaches will often select a known liability simply because they are known and predictable over an unproven player that is completely unpredictable out there. And that all manifests itself with how fluent players can convince coaches they are with their assignments. If the coach thinks they don't know what to do, they aren't getting on the field under any circumstances, no matter the talent.

We have an OC and DC sitting up in a booth, so if Sirianni isn't going to light a fire under players, then the players themselves have to do it. We already pretty much know Hurts isn't that kind of leader and ever since he changed his running style to slide-mode, he's unfortunately sending the wrong message about giving 100%.I have no problem with some of the slides. I have a huge problem with him sliding on a designed run or a read option where he decides to keep it. But after Hurts, who is a leader? Who on defense can vocally challenge teammates. Who on offense will do that?I'd also like to point out that our record could be even better if we hadn't lost so many games that we seemed to be in control of. I think the players like Sirianni and he likes the players. But at some point jobs are on the line when teams continue to struggle. We could easily get back on track by just playing better and be a legit postseason force. We can also just as easily repeat the script of 2020 if nobody can light a fire on this underperforming team. At the end of that year, Doug was pretty much forced to replace some starters and let rookies learn on the job and then he was looking for work shortly after the season.
October 6Oct 6 I’m going to ask a simple question:Does anyone here feel like Lurie, Howie, Sirianni, and Hurts are all on the same page for what this team should be running and what gives them the best chance for success?

October 6Oct 6 2 mediocre teams that create running lanes, open receivers, first downs. I forgot what a normal offense feels like

Him sliding whether on designed runs or not isn’t one of them and has no correlation to him giving 100% or not.
October 6Oct 6 Say what you want about AJ, and I really hate with some of the methods he used to vent his frustrations (via media). But one thing is for certain, dude would not stand the offensive production being what it is right now.I am sure Hurts, Barkley aren't happy either and I do hope that behind the scenes, they are challenging each other and having open and honest conversations about the things that are holding them back

It all started after the contract extension, so it seemed pretty clear he had bee instructed to slide. But I do know he is no longer a dual threat QB because of the sliding and that has had an adverse effect on the offense. It's one thing to slide at the end of a long scramble, but can you imagine telling your starting RB to make sure he slides before somebody can hit him on every single run? That would be ridiculous --- especially right now when they are averaging a combined 2 yards before contact. So if you design runs for Hurts or he decides to keep it, he can't just keep sliding for no gain or a short loss. Either redesign the offense or at the very least take those plays out of the playbook.
October 6Oct 6 Just saw the news. Bring me some Lampkin! Now, we see if Mannion can implement what he wants here with some more athleticism added to the interior with LD and CJ gone. I don't expect drastic changes all at once, but just something.

Watching vids of Hurts from early years - he was a step up in explosion and speed that doesn't show up these days. He still makes a few plays with his legs but but just isnt the threat he was back then,
