Oh you were talking about the loan bailout. Of course I'd take it. Thats why forgiving these loans is dumb, everyone would take a loan they never had to pay. But how about you answer this: You are going to have pay a very small portion of someone else's loan back. You get absolutely nothing out of it, had no part of the decision to take the loan, but you still have to pay a miniscule portion of their loan because this guy made an investment on themselves and that investment failed to pay for itself. Sound good?
October 17, 20213 yr Biden is doing so well that Obama has to come out the closet and jamb his hand up Biden's arse to play puppeteer. 😂

HE has definitely bottomed out in more ways than one, this much we agree on. I just wish he had an IQ high enough to understand taking handouts from the government is very much the type of socialism he complains is ruining the country.

But they are not so bankruptcy is pretty much not applicable here and is completely off topic. That response makes no sense. Because private companies issue credit after running a credit check, debt incurred should be dischargeable in a bankruptcy. But because the federal government guarantees student loan debt, making credit checks unnecessary before loans issue, that debt should not be dischargeable in bankruptcy. In fact, student loan debt used to be dischargeable in a bankruptcy notwithstanding federal guarantees. The law was only changed after dubious claims that students were "abusing" the bankruptcy process. It is good for the economy, and good for society to discharge debt when it becomes onerous and to give people a fresh start. https://www.savingforcollege.com/article/history-of-student-loans-bankruptcy-discharge History of Student Loans: Bankruptcy Discharge 2 minutes ago, we_gotta_believe said: HE has definitely bottomed out in more ways than one, this much we agree on. who, downundermike?

And I'm no fan of students calling for "free" college or to have their student loans "forgiven," Going through a bankruptcy is no easy feat. Ask most people who have undergone one. It's very unpleasant, can be unnerving and generally takes a bit of time. But still, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Let insolvent student loan debtors discharge their debt in a bankruptcy after certain criteria are met.

Sound good? we already do that in so many other circumstances. Benefits to non-citizens. Benefits to senior citizens. Food stamps. Healthcare for all. Now theyre talking about free daycare in the next stimulus package. Its the way our country works. Someone is always paying for someone else's stuff. I contribute to that too for my whole life so far since I was old enough to start working at 14 years old. Now I know a lot of people are salty that they paid their loans and wont get to benefit from forgiveness. But I have already paid for daycare and pre-k for both of my kids. I wont benefit from that new program. But Im not going to begrudge the people who do. Thats the difference between me and a-holes like WGB. Im nice. Hes jealous and bitter. Do I agree with a 3.5T stimulus bill? No. But I cant stop it. Am I going to begrudge those who benefit from it? No. Im happy for them.

I have really never cried about them or said anything was unfair. All the way back to the beginning of me talking about this I have said that loan forgiveness would be the only reason I might vote for Biden. And despite his promise, I still didnt vote for him. He still hasnt followed through on his promise. But I might end up getting it through the public service forgiveness program anyway. Never cried about not wanting, or not being able to pay them. I have always paid in full, on time, on a higher payment than I needed to. But if someone is going to offer me free tens of thousands of dollars, Ill take it.

Yep you definitely haven't posted multiple times in CVON complaining about how you should've qualified for loan forgiveness already while also saying socialism is ruining the country.

I've never said socialism is running the country. And though I've explained what's going on with my attempts for the public service loan forgiveness have never complained. I just keep trying as new rules are made that may benefit me.

I have re-submitted my application as of the 14th and already received correspondence stating that they received it and are reviewing my case to confirm qualified employment and number of qualifying payments. Waiting on final decision.
