I have been to a bunch of different stores, shelves fully stocked.

Same. I'm going to take a page from the republicans on this one. If it isn't personally happening to me, its fake news.

Please tell me a chain grocery store we have on the West Coast that has a reported shortage and I will go and check it out. In the last 3 weeks, I have been in a Safeway, Yoke's, Albertsons, Rosauers, and even a Walmart to hang out with @Joe Shades 73 people, and I did not find empty shelves anywhere. My neighbor across the street is a Trumper and was ranting about the shortages at our local Safeway the Wednesday before Christmas. As my wife was cooking breakfast Christmas morning she realized she forgot bacon, and Safeway was the only open store. Ran down and picked up the bacon, and seeing as the store was empty I took a walk through the store, not an empty shelf to be found.

I can only tell you what I see where I am and on the web. Good for you if you don't have shortages. They exist elsewhere in the country. Not sure what your point is.

January 12, 20223 yr Today, the balance on my student loans reads $0.00!! However, I have no mail, no email, and no communication on my account that states my loans have been forgiven. It seems they may have been. But Im also wondering if they got transferred to a different servicer. But, theres nothing telling me that either. Hopefully tomorrow they will send some communication telling me what has happened.

January 12, 20223 yr Front page on today’s newspaper. 4 reasons you’re seeing empty grocery store shelves Winter weather VIRUS SURGE SUPPLY CHAIN SNARLS MORE OF US ARE EATING AT HOME
January 12, 20223 yr I was out grocery shopping yesterday and BSB is a real thing in our area for sure (unlike JSHs experiences)...
January 12, 20223 yr There are supply chain issues, no doubt. Coronavirus is raging right now. There may not be enough workers to stock shelves. Or drive trucks. Or load the trucks. Or move containers at the ports. Whatever. Any breakdown along the network can cause big problems. You're likely to see it if you shop consistently at the same store. You want bacon, they're out of bacon. That sucks. But if you go to the next store, they got plenty of bacon. They're out of orange juice. It's sporadic, depending on what you're shopping for and at what location. The supply chain issues persist all the way back to March 2020. Remember when nobody could find toilet paper? Or when the meat processors couldn't stay open? LINK
January 12, 20223 yr We haven't noticed any shortages yet. I remember there was a week during the March and April lockdown in 2020 where I had to make french toast with white bread instead of brioche. I'm still traumatized by that.
January 12, 20223 yr Around my parts, random items in the grocery store dissappear here and there. Usually just for a few days or a week and then you can find them again.

Biden should make fixing the supply chain problems in the "Blue States" his priority.

It's sporatic or hit and miss but not a complete nightmare that people are making out to be. Overblown by the media as usual. I'll go to my parents and they will tell me about all the empty grocery stores they saw on the news... They tell me this even though I work in one lol. I tell them the same thing it's overblown
