Those numbers are hollow. Sinema and Manchin throw temper tantrums and refuse to vote for Biden's bills until the get everything they want in them. So yeah once that bill has all of their wishlists included, they vote for it. Manchin also votes with republicans nearly 40% of the time.

Jim justice just becomes another faceless republican who will vote how McConnel tells him to vote. Ideally, the democrats should primary him like the republicans do.

May 31, 20233 yr Most are grandstanders, and somewhere between a plurality and a slim majority are interested in doing the people's work at least part time. But that's the bar, always has been. When I look at WV, I believe if it wasn't Joe Manchin it would be someone far worst. I have no particular love for Manchin, but having a Democrat from WV is an absolute gift for the party, even if he's a prickly Democrat who believes in such dated constructs as bi-partisanship. And whether or not you or I like him "as a Democrat", he's generally pretty honest about advocating for his state - so yeah his priorities are going to be out of step with many Democrats from major metro areas.
