Definitely just take an Uber there. Another question... Have you ever been to Hollywood Burger or Hollywood Clucker? We're gonna be doing the walk of fame on one of our days and might need to stop for a quick bite on the way back to the hotel. I know there's Johnny Rockets and Hard Rock at Hollywood and Vine or whatever they call it now, but looking for something less cookie cutter that the kids will still enjoy. From the website, it kinda looks like an In N Out ripoff? Another bonus is that it looks like you can order it for delivery which might come in handy if we get hungry later in the evening. Also looks like they even have a breakfast menu.

There's an In N Out not too far from Hollywood Blvd. Also, Pig N' Whistle is a restaurant and old Hollywood institution -- try that. [EDIT: Just saw Pig N' Whistle closed due to the pandemic. Had been there since the 1920s. Damn] FWIW, the Yelp reviews are good for Hollywood Burger.

Yeah there's an In N Out a couple blocks south of the Manns theater that we've been to before years ago (if that's the one you're referring to), but was super busy from what I recall. We had a car though so we just did drive thru which moved pretty quick and then parked and ate it in a parking lot, but that won't be an option this time. We've also been to the one in culver city which wasn't busy at all, or at least not when we went. Plan is still to hit up the one by universal per your last suggestion but if this Hollywood burger place is decent, and can deliver, might have to try it the first night we're there.

Last time we were there, we got caught in traffic on the way back and spent 90 min on the highway to move like 5 miles. That kinda scarred me, plus the kids probably wont be too impressed with the carnival rides there compared to what they'll see at universal and disney. But if we end up reverting back and decide to head down, we know where to eat now.

I am taking my nieces to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl when they are in town, but they are teachers. Might be worth checking out. Definitely get the line jumper tickets at Universal -- if you're a CA resident, it's unlimited. For out of towners, I think you can use once per ride. Worth every penny. Also, don't eat at any of the restaurants on Universal City Walk -- they are all terrible. Have taken nieces and nephews, and never found a good meal. In the park, there's a Jurassic Cafe by the Jurassic World ride that's simple for lunch and decent (burgers, chicken sandwich, pulled pork, etc.).

They are 10 and 7, we looked at a bunch of sites like the observatory, the pier, the oscars museum, la brea pits, the grove and market, etc, but we had to keep reminding ourselves that stuff we might've enjoyed while we were single might not appeal to them as much. They'll probably like to see the theme parks and more of the tourist traps type ish, so we settled on 4 days in LA and are leaning towards the following: walk of fame, shops at hollywood and vine, wax museum, (if time allows, go watch the new indy movie at el capitan), escape room at questroom (maybe a second on the next day if they really like it), California science center, Natural history museum, Universal, then head to Anaheim for 5 days (3 at DCA, 2 at DL.) A lot of it is dependent on weather and what we feel like doing on that particular day. If temps are in the 70's, making a trip to the pier doesn't seem as worthwhile. Likewise, if they're running out of steam by 6pm (our 9pm) then we'll have to cut things short and skip out on things like watching indy. If it ends up being super hot like in the 90's, then the pier is back on the table, and for the days we're at the parks, we're gonna have to do mid-day pool breaks back at the hotel. Just depends on how things go.

June 14, 20232 yr So, Defendant Trump supporters are making the claim that Biden has engaged in Bribery. Is there any evidence to support this or is just a made up claim with out proof? Haven't heard much about this.

Is there any evidence to support this or is just a made up claim with out proof? Haven't heard much about this. There was a complaint filed with the FBI with allegations of bribery regarding Hunter and Joe Biden. It's an unverified report, reportedly brought to the attention of the FBI by Rudy. It refers to tapes as evidence, but not tapes were ever produced. It's basically the same as the VAERS system -- anyone can file a report claiming anything. So basically it's nothing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/06/13/gop-biden-allegation-analysis/ Quote But despite incremental new revelations about the form and about the push for the form to be released, nothing about the situation has changed from that first news release. Republicans are hyping a secondhand allegation from a single source — an allegation that was in the hands of Attorney General William P. Barr’s Justice Department in mid-2020 without leading to criminal charges or, it seems, any specific investigation. Quote Regardless, the bureau spoke with a confidential source in June 2020 about the allegation, generating the FD-1023 document Comer and Grassley are seeking. That source, whose identity the bureau is eager to protect, is someone who had been paid by the bureau for information in the past and is considered credible — though that of course doesn’t extend to the Burisma executive with whom the source spoke. It’s the executive who alleged the bribery, money purportedly offered in part to halt the investigation of Burisma by Shokin. An investigation, remember, that doesn’t appear to have existed. There are other problems with the story, too. The House Oversight Committee has been breathlessly dissecting Hunter Biden’s finances in an effort to build out a story about the corruption of "the Biden family.” (There’s no evidence of payments to Joe Biden, hence the blurred allegation against the family broadly.) The committee has detailed how payments from Chinese actors, for example, appear to have been divvied up between people linked to Hunter Biden or his uncle. Yet there is apparently no evidence of a $5 million payment to Hunter Biden. That Comer has spent the month fighting with the FBI about releasing an unredacted version of the interview form instead of, say, finding the $5 million in the voluminous financial documents his committee possesses is telling. So is the fact that no charges for bribery were brought against Joe or Hunter Biden. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Oversight Committee Democrats said that the bureau, in showing the document to members of Congress, "informed the Committee, in no uncertain terms, that this assessment was closed in August 2020 after it failed to identify sufficient evidence to justify further investigation.”

Click. And Republicans would say this is smoking gun evidence of Biden's criminal enterprise. Got it.
