Devon Archer literally confirmed that business was not discussed on these calls.

Is it really hard to believe that a drug addict grifter would call his father merely to show he could get him to answer the phone, if it meant 100s of thousands of dollars?

Hunter is a loser. This is known.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Actually a clever move by the lawyers to say he was only selling the "illusion of access" ....of course no sane person would ever believe that, knowing that he would literally put Joe on these phone calls and the context would be painful obvious.  But its clever.

Just going with your narrative, though: what was the logic of Hunter putting Joe on these calls, if Joe had no idea what was going on and this was all Hunter's "illusion?"

Would Joe just say hi and ask about the weather, and never wonder or ask Hunter why he was talking with all of these foreigners?

Irrelevant if no laws can be proven to have been broken. A guy called his dad.  Keep asking questions though, this is some hard hitting investigating you are doing here.

I mean, have none of you actually been in a meeting before? When I was in banking, we'd routinely ask the head of investment banking to stop in very quickly to say hello, make the client feel special. He'd have no idea what the hell we were talking about -- come in, say hello, shake hands and then leave. It's not some crazy concept.

Lol but I bet the head of investment banking knew you were doing banking work.

What the hell did Joe think Hunter was doing talking to Ukrainians??

This is certainly the dumbest response I expected to receive, thanks for knocking that one out early.

it's motivated reasoning. MAGAts have been brainwashed by right-wing media to believe the Bidens are a crime family and that Joe is "the big guy", entirely because it then gives them a BS moral-equivalence to contrast with Trump.

evidence, or lack thereof, is irrelevant.

they have to make Biden a criminal, because the alternative is a cognitive-dissonance induced mental breakdown over having to accept that "their guy" Trump is uniquely unethical and criminal even among politicians.

Oh! I get it now! It's an illusion. There has to be an equally corrupt criminal on the other side to make Trump acceptable. Outrage must be equal!

I mean, that's been the playbook since 2016. Just accuse the other side of doing the same thing Trump does, thereby creating a ridiculous false equivalence. Classified documents. Nepotism. Profiting off the Presidency.

Every accusation is a confession.

Trump supporters cannot face the notion that their guy is all the bad things he says Dems are - and more.

The closest recent comparison is of course Nixon, but at that time we had enough leadership in the Republican party that actually believed in both the nation and the Constitution enough to put the good of the country above their personal political careers.

When Republican leadership convinced Nixon to resign, a LOT of rank and file Republicans were pissed at Goldwater & co for what they perceived as a lack of loyalty to "their guy" Nixon. Republicans suffered more for this in a lot of ways than they did over the actual resignation of Nixon.

But Goldwater/etc. were willing to take that heat, because they actually had a commitment to the nation that was stronger than their commitment to a political party.

If we don't get back to some semblance of that, I do fear for what will happen.

Please, enlighten us with all the evidence of broken laws you have collected here, inspector.

Because Goldwater was playing the long game, which was validated by Reagan's election 6 years later.

But these ass clowns running the party these days are complete cowards and don't realize they're handing the presidency to the Democrats on a silver platter for the next decade or more.

Have you convinced yourself yet?

Goldwater was also a true conservative -- the man literally wrote the book. He never liked Nixon, hated the expansion of Presidential power, and didn't want to see his legacy destroyed by the actions of one man.

No such person exists today.

Delusional.  As if there is no evidence whatsoever, even though there clearly is.

The only reason none of you have decided to care about this is because Trump exists and youve all convinced yourself he is the only criminal in our govt.  Joe was supposed to be the adult in the room, instead hes a criminal lifelong grifter like all the others.

So we should prove his guilt before acquiring all the evidence and completing investigations?  Is that how it works?

I guess only for a TDSer.

He clearly used his son as a bag man for his foreign bribery and grifting, establishing shell companies to do so.

And hey dont forget Biden also illegally kept and hid confidential documents.

Two sets of rules though, simply because Orange Man Bad and that is now engrained into your stupid dna

Proof of the first? And the second has been explained to you many times, you are just too stupid to understand the explanation.

Lol yeah we "have to make Biden a criminal" as if he didnt do that himself by making his crackhead son his bag man.

You all are just mad that the guy you voted for, who was supposed to save the day and reestablish respect to the presidency, is no better than Trump.

Contrary to what you all are saying, its Biden who has proven to be every bit as unethical and criminal as any Trump allegation.

The only evidence you have is the testimony of a whistleblower who hung you morons out to dry yet again. You rubes will never learn.

I'm sorry, did I miss the part where Biden was indicated 3 times for a total of 78 charges?

Proof?  Are you drunk?  I already posted the text messages ....what did those mean?

And all the shell companies, why?

And Hunter being involved in the first place why?

You all are being willfully ignorant, it wont last long, dont worry.

"We can't show proof until after the investigation.  But we can assume he's guilty right now because...reasons!"

It's like you set out to prove John Snow's point for him.
