August 16, 20232 yr At what point does anyone point out that the $700 is the defined amount under Critical Needs Assistance as administered by FEMA. It's what the law and regulations say. Sending more money would require an act of Congress. Or are we now cool with the executive branch just sending money without getting Congressional approval now? https://www.fema.gov/fact-sheet/critical-needs-assistance-0 Anything extra will require a bill passing Congress.

I wonder what they will say if any of their guys in congress vote against more aid? Should be an interesting conversation if that happens.
August 17, 20232 yr The GOP twaddles that vote against it, will all be using it to show what great work they are doing.

What the hell are you talking about now?? Disaster relief is not socialism. And if it requires Congressional approval to send a non-insulting amount of disaster relief, someone should wake up Biden and get him working on that.

Ok and now what the hell are YOU talking about? I love how you guys create your own entire convos out of thin air. Totally not insane at all
August 17, 20232 yr I don’t see a SINGLE Republican getting on the phone and calling their representatives and demanding that they increase FEMA funding to make this sum larger. This is also not the only thing they’re doing for Hawaii. The White House has put out an entire fact sheet of things they’ve done from small business assistance, home rebuilding programs, food, water, shelter, transportation, ground support and more. It’s truly disgusting how Republicans have turned critical need assistance funding into a political point.

In a Philadelphia Eagles board. Where they act off the rails far left. Yah, but only FIVE democrats. And look at some of the illustrious Republicans who are big Biden supporters. Clown show.

"Not Trump supporters" routinely make this assumption that if someone voted against Trump that they're "far left". That's because you Trump loving idiots are so off the reservation politically that you've entirely lost touch with what it means to be a normal political being. Republicans who actually read and understand policies and politics are more likely to reject the short term ignorance of Trumpism.
