You're welcome Quote Compared with advanced European economies, the United States has the lowest harmonized headline inflation rate—a comparable measure of inflation. (see Figure 1) In fact, compared with every other G7 economy, the United States has not just the lowest headline inflation but also the lowest core inflation—inflation that excludes volatile energy and food prices. Core inflation is the preferred measure of central banks. https://www.americanprogress.org/article/7-reasons-the-u-s-economy-is-among-the-strongest-in-the-g7/#:~:text=The United States has the lowest inflation rate in the G7&text=Compared with advanced European economies,a comparable measure of inflation.

And while many things are cheaper, that's been the case for quite a while now. The core expenditures people have to make - food, housing, transportation - are all skyrocketing with no end in sight. These bills bloated with port like the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act are stoking the fires of inflation and eroding the dollar. And your analysis of inflation is off base. Prices are higher because there are more dollars flooding the economy. And forget about Trump for a sec. Does Biden instill confidence in you on his own footing? Greatest President in modern history

Me and my policies are doing nothing to bring the country together and everything to divide us even further. It's surprising that we are living in the best times ever but for some reason the president's approval ratings show a different reality. I guess people are just not smart enough to understand that things are great for them but thank God MidMoFo is here to set everyone straight. Thanks!

It has nothing to do with Biden. It's market economics. You want price controls and Communism? And food costs are not "skyrocketing" at this point. The food cost index in the US went from 319.72 to 322.84 the last six months. Annualized that's a 2% food cost inflation the last six months. You're arguing like it's Jan 2022. It's Aug 2023. Biden has been in office for 2.5 years and inflation peaked early and has been dropping the last year. If we're going to compare policies, our inflation, economy, and unemployment are better than any comparable nation. I don't even give Biden credit for much of that. The infrastructure bill probably could get a little credit, along with the chips bill perhaps. But most of this is just having a robust economy and the Fed belatedly but seriously fighting inflation. But since you're eager to pile on the blame, here we are. By every economic measure the US has far outpaced its rivals. China's teetering on the brink. Germany is dealing with self inflicted economic trouble. The UK Brexited itself out of an enviable trade situation due to Trumplike economic stupidity. And the US is rising. Trump got lucky for three years, then badly bungled the only crisis he had to deal with. He was the worst president in the last 100 years.

August 24, 20232 yr An article from April with the line "Over the past two years..." Yes, food prices went up a lot during the pandemic and for a time thereafter. I literally said that. They went up globally. Not because of Biden. 2022 the main drivers were egg and chicken prices due to an avian flu outbreak along with the Ukraine war disrupting wheat deliveries (which incidentally I'd imagine is resulting in a windfall for US wheat farmers). Point to a Biden policy that resulted in the culling of millions of chickens due to bird flu. The impacts of the pandemic however are mostly ironed out from a food standpoint, and it shows in the last 6 mos. Keep denying reality.
August 25, 20232 yr Biden is nothing more than a loose collection of face lifts and saggy skin who is senile and incompetent, and likely ishs his own pants. Hes a pathetic, do-nothing, reactionary, ineffective president with no leadership skills or any political vision beyond his handlers who try to keep him from falling off bicycles.
