Unions are very good for people with high seniority and low desire to be productive in their jobs. There is no reward for being the best worker because when layoffs happen it is based solely on seniority in most cases, until you can get out of the union and into management. Management that then gets cut because its so hard to get rid of the unskilled overpaid slobs
