Strategically, I think Democrats should ask Biden privately to step aside so a younger, more vibrant candidate can be the nominee in November, then attack Trump relentlessly for his equally obvious cognitive decline and impairment. No one would question if he cited a desire to retire. I wasn’t terribly concerned about him saying Mexico instead of Egypt; I was more concerned with how slowly he was speaking and expressing thoughts. The difference in the two parties is, Democrats can do that because they have a sane, rational leader of their party. The Republicans are closer to a cult than a political party and someone will have to "off” Trump to get rid of him.
