July 13, 20241 yr I watched the Michigan rally. Looks like he’s staying in no matter what. He was already stubborn, and last night he had thousands of people chanting that they have his back, and the latest poll has him up 2. The media narrative seems to have shifted already this morning.

He's still got that Lester Holt interview on Monday but supposedly there were 6 or so congressional Democrats (one of the reports allegedly said "dozens") that were waiting to come forward after the NATO summit and only one or two of them went through with it apparently. The longer this drags on though, the more it will play into and reinforce the narrative that party elites have been pulling the strings behind the scenes all along which really undermines a lot of what he'd been touting as accomplishments the last 3 years. I don't think that would sit well with run of the mill democrat voters in rust belt states. If they were to bite the bullet and force a switch to Harris, I really wish that would've happened a week or two ago. To be clear, I think Harris would be able to mount a more effective campaign against Trump, but I'm just not as sure as others are that the fallout with voters would surmountable. I think a lot of them would feel duped and put off by that in a major way.

When I look now there isn't anything on CNN homepage (international) and the others are at least neutral. Looks like they may have called off the dogs, for now anyway.
