cheeto was potus during the Covid lockdowns & took credit for the vaccines / operation warp speed…so this is in the wrong thread.

and masks were a "better than nothing " approach & it really depended on the type of mask worn.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

But don't get me wrong...masks were useless too.

Yeah, except that multiple peer reviewed studies show that masks were not useless and the vaccines did work.

So instead of being an individual, you shirk facts so that you can belong to a bunch of people who also shirk facts. How collective of you.

I don't need some supposed "peer reviewed" study to know that after being vaccinated and boosted I, along with every other person I know, has had the virus multiple times.

You have to understand that vaccines are not 100% effective before you can make this claim. You also have to believe in evolution, germ theory, and science in general. The vaccine worked fine for me. I didn’t get COVID when I was fully vaccinated, and only got it when I skipped a few boosters.

Right here is the problem. You simply don’t understand the scientific process.

what do you think happened? did they warp speed the vaccines out to the public before they were properly tested?

you guys should just AI your back-and-forth posts at this point

the model would be REALLY easy to train

No, the virus mutated faster than the updated vaccines could be produced...but I see what ya did there.

Hindsight is 20/20, and earlier (especially the earliest) Covid variants were much more severe.

This is all revisionist history.

I understand vaccines very well. I can almost guarantee that I've had more than most, if not all on this board due to extensive travel in the developing world for most of my life. When the Flu vaccination targets the wrong strains of influenza and outbreaks become rampant...nobody has any problem saying that year's flu vaccine was not effective. Same thing here, the MRNA vaccines may have worked against the early strains but they were unable to keep up with the pace of mutation. Therefore, near everyone in the country got COVID multiple times and more than a million died from it.

If your point is that the vaccine was effective for the early strains, then fine. But it was ineffective at keeping up with a rapidly mutating virus. You don't need to be a scientist to comprehend the obvious.

I really don't like getting into stuff on here but I can't read "vaccine that didn't work" and "masks were useless" without calling you a dumb-dumb.

This is me calling you a dumb-dumb.

Carry on.

Among vaccinated persons the rate of severe Covid and death were significantly reduced.

It did not end up preventing spread as well as hoped, but even so it significantly reduced fatal cases.

Second guessing policy decisions made with incomplete information about an evolving public health foe is a fool's errand. Which decisions end up "correct" is a factor of luck, not insight.

All that happened when Trump was president. We had about 15 months of lockdown and social distancing, and 10 of those months were under Trump. Try again.

Not to mention that said "insight" constantly, conveniently, and rapidly shifted amongst the covid internet cognoscenti - it was a hoax, then the government made it to test it's ability to control everyone, then the government made it to reduce the population, then it was just a bad flu, then nobody was actually dying, then it was an excuse to make everyone take a vaccine (to test the governments ability to control everyone, or to reduce the population, or to implant chips, or to enrich biotech)...

ok I'm done.

Covid weighs the same as a duck.

I can’t say if you or I had more vaccines, but I was given all the childhood vaccines that kids born in the 60s received. I had the entire round of vaccines when I joined the Army in 81, again in 87 when I joined the Navy, and again when I deployed to the ME in 05. And the VA sticks me with just about any vaccine that is recommended for my age.

I agree that the vaccines have a hard time keeping up with the newer strains, but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t work at all.

You have to wonder who was running the auto pen.

Leaked audio from a 2023 interview between then-President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur surfaced on Friday, revealing significant memory lapses and cognitive challenges. The audio recordings, obtained by Axios, depict Biden struggling to recall key dates, including the year his son Beau died and the year Donald Trump was elected president.

Wow! So Biden was a complete cognitive mess, but still managed to handle the day to day of our country far better than Trump. That says a lot.

He wasn't handling s***, dumb***. That's the point.

The point you missed over and over again as you denied the decline ever existed.
