Yep. And only one was a real play where Wentz wasn't inexplicably lined out wide as a receiver, effectively making Hurts basically play with a 10 man offense instead of 11. 

Doug is trippin, Hurts should have had the last 4 mins after Wentz's endzone pick, he needs to realize that the loyalty thing isn't leading to improved play, it's time to make the change.

I’m not even saying Hurts is a long term answer, he’s probably not, but you don’t know that for sure until he’s given a chance. Put it this way, I’m much more convinced at this time that Wentz is not the answer than I am Hurts. 

Really glad Hurts took all those first team reps this week. Those 2 plays last night were really the difference in the ball game.

Wentz was struggling (again) and they don't pull him? Then when they do Hurts completes a pass and they pull him back out? I mean I just don't get what Doug is trying to achieve with this nonsense.

There's absolutely no doubt at all that Wentz needs to sit. Whether that's a long term thing or just for a couple of games it now has to happen. They have to.

Agreed, I’m not giving up on Wentz, but it’s clear he needs to sit for at least a game or two. His issues are clearly not fixing themselves.

You may be right and I don’t think we will see 2017 Wentz again. But I don’t see why he can’t get back to end of 2019 Wentz.

I mean we might but with every week that goes by I just don't see it. I mean he's not even flashing any plays at this point. He looks as lost and incompetent as guys like DiNucci and the guy who we faced for the Jets last year.

Maybe...just maybe...Doug knows Hurts isn't capable of handling the QB duties or running the offense more effectively right now.  Doug has a whole team of adult men who deserve to have the best shot at winning for the team and their careers.  It may not be the blind loyalty so often spouted around here. .

Here's the thing... Neither is Wentz. I mean Hurts literally can not be worse.

Doug obviously believes it can be worse.  You have nothing on the line, except fun.  It's his career and the players and staff around him.

 I have seen Hurts play alot.  I agree with Doug.

This is where I'm at with it. Doug is going down with Wentz so at least try something else. It really can't be any worse.

Would you pull Wentz now given that it may damage his trade value?  For those that want him gone, that has to be a consideration.  Benching him and showing a viable replacement (doubt this part happens) clearly hurts leverage.

Continuing to play him doesn't help his trade value either. Every week he looks completely lost. 

I won't be shocked if Wentz is the starter next year nor the year after. But if he is? Then this team is going to struggle for a few years to come.

It does hurt his value, if by some stroke of luck, Hurts looks competent.  He clearly has less value then. 

You and I disagree, for sure.  I think Wentz is a product of the top to bottom mess around him.

Yeah we disagree and that's fine. We are all entitled to our opinions. I think Wentz is a major reason why this is such a mess.

I hear you about Hurts. Regardless of what you think of him, the general consensus was that he was a project who wouldn't be ready this year.

With that being said, we need to sit Wentz for a game, it's that simple. If Hurts is great and knocks off the Packers - well we have to roll with him.

But chances are he struggles but gets some valuable experience. It holds Wentz accountable for his bad play and hopefully helps him clear his head a little. We can't just keep rolling him out there at the moment though.

I usually don’t like meddling owners, but at this point Lurie needs to flat out tell Doug either you start Hurts next weekend or you’re fired.

I don't know what changes Lurie plans to make at the conclusion of this God awful season, but if he is considering retaining Doug, he absolutely needs to give him another directive ... either hire an experienced OC to take over the responsibilities of leading the offense, game-planning, play design, or lose your job as HC.  I think I'd be fine with Doug staying on as HC but I want Doug the OC fired.
