This is what being an Eagles fan is. Jalen Hurts is our QB. Let's hope that he has an MVP season!!!

No, I provided facts that contributed to his poor play.  For example, going into his last 4 games, Eagles were top 5 in yards per carry, but bottom 5 in total carries.  Doug Pedersons solution, go with a 25:75 run pass ratio over his last 4 starts.

That’s just going with stats. If you are behind, you throw more. If you throw it more your few carries tend to go for more yards. To think that running it more when your line is in shambles would solve anything is naive.

So you don’t think these factors contributed to Hurts poor play or does that only work for Carson? Heck Hurts was a rookie playing in his first four games on a team that’s imploding around him during a time when he didn’t even get preseason play.

And still looked so much better than our overpayed and weak starter.

Wentz had more opportunities than he deserved. He just doesn’t have it anymore.

Seahawk game, offside Seahawks, 1st and 5, pass, pass, pass, punt

Oh look. Dude got a run, ran for 20 yards.

Lets run him twenty times so we get 400!

Because that’s how it works, right? 😁

Run blocking wasn't the problem. When all your critical mistakes are coming from the passing game, it makes sense to run more. Doug tried to pass our way out of a passing funk. It didn't work.

The Andy Reid tree showing it’s most glaring flaw

The people who claim their being honest about Hurts love to broad brush how crappy Wentz truly was last season. They literally spent weeks defending that dude for looking like trash week after week. Meanwhile they over analyze 4 games of a rookie. Their bias completely shows.

The thing that gets me is that pretty much every scouting report on Hurts suggested he would need a year of development.

He gets thrown into an awful situation that a highly paid veteran couldn’t handle and did absolutely make rookie mistakes at times.

But the offense also moved the ball a lot better when he was in there. He showed some really good things. Enough to have a proper look at this year, surrounded by what will hopefully be a much better supporting cast.

Just can’t understand people writing him off and wanting to give up 3 firsts for a QB facing numerous civil and criminal charges.

They have been led to believe that you need an elite quarterback to win games despite the fact the guy they’re cherishing won only 4 games last season too. 😂

Josh Allen was basically a bad quarterback (who also runs) as a rookie and he wasn’t that great of a passer his second year either. By his third season he completed nearly 70% of his passes. Maybe it isn’t a good idea to give up on quarterbacks after 4 games after all.

Agreed. 4 games is nowhere near enough. In fact all 17 games next year probably is not going to be enough either. Unless of course Hurts just looks hopeless and then it probably is. But if he shows a little something and he flashes then you probably don't want to give up on that after just one full year.

From the talk in camp it already sounds like Hurts is improving and many of his teammates are believing in him. It seems like he’s already starting to turn the corner. This guy is a hard worker and hit puts the blame on himself when he’s not succeeding. I guess too many people around here just fell in love with the finger pointer approach. 🤷‍♂️

Hurts went to the hospital. Had a stomach infection. Told to rest for a few days but will be fine.

Put him on IR and tank for a real QB. Howie is missing his opportunity. He'd also get fired so it's a win win.

From what I've heard that escalated pretty quickly? He was all set to play and was out warming up and then he was rushed to hospital.

Howie’s going nowhere.

Hope Hurts is okay. Will make him a steal in fantasy drafts though….

Glad he's doing better. Did the Cheatriots spike his Gatorade?

You know they probably did.

Just heard that Hurts returned to the stadium during the game after going to the hospital!

If you haven't been paying attention... Howie ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Even 0-17 won't get him fired.

What the masses fail to grasp is that Howie is just an extension of Lurie.  Chip Kelly didn't understand this and it got him fired.
