It's certainly possible to output weird scripts, novels, etc. from Chat but if people think movies suck now, wait until Disney Execs are inputting everything into AI and they're kicking out market tested nonsense regurgitated from their existing database. Get your popcorn ready, it's time for Coupon: The Movie

I'm not a big star wars guy (didn't start watching the original trilogy until I was in college, and didn't finish until well after), but Rogue One is easily my favorite of the ones I've seen. The first JJ Abrams one with the chick as the lead was decent too I guess. Haven't seen Mandalorian, but the star wars nerds I know all creamed their pants when it first came out.

I like Mandalorian alright but it's nowhere near the level of Rogue One or Andor. 3rd season was so bad I stopped watching it. But I'd actually put Rouge One in the mix for the best Star Wars Movie ever made. Probably #2 behind Empire.

I didn't see the original trilogy until college either. (so there is no nostalgia elevating the newer movies for me) One of the brothers I roomed with was a huge star wars fan, so he had that 3 tape set which was my introduction. Then he had 2 extra tickets to Episode 1 opening weekend, so I got one and a pledge got one to hold our place in line while we went to the bar across the street. I've seen 1-9, and only 1, 7 & 9 in the theaters. 1-3 is hot garbage. 4 is good. 5 is excellent. 6 is "a bunch of muppets". 7 was predictable nostalgia. (schmoopie STILL thinks I looked up spoilers about Han since I nailed it on the car ride over) 8 was awful. 9 I didn't mind as much as everyone else, I may have liked it the most of the 6 non OG's.

Rogue One is actually really good, you should watch it. If it weren't for our trips to Disney, I doubt I would've even watched any of the JJ Abrams ones.

August 9, 20232 yr EDIT: Here's the context https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/08/us/oakland-crime-increase-naacp-residents/index.html Quote Amid a surge in crime in Oakland, California, police have advised residents to use air horns to alert neighbors to intruders and add security bars to their doors and windows. Bird, who moved to Oakland 2 1/2 years ago, said she took their advice to heart. She now has three air horns and five security cameras around her home.
