Doug isn't the best communicator and he needs to get better at it. If he had said that Nate would play regardless, then I think people would have less of an issue with the appearance of tanking.  The thing, too, is that the defense played so well that it doesn't seem like it was a tank. If it was, it would be pulling it really close...less than a TD.  But, Sudfeld was so rusty that he wasn't ready to play. Also, Doug still makes bad 4th down decisions, but that is par for the course. I think that would've happened regardless of tonight.

How could they? Doug said they planned to get Sudfeld in the game. When Doug chooses to isn't anyone's business but his because he is the head coach. If you want to blame anyone, blame NBC for putting that trash on national TV. And as far as the Giants go, they should try winning more than 6 games. Whether or not we put them in a position to make the playoffs isn't our problem.

Barnett's salary for next year is 10 million. With the cap being the way it is next year, I don't see him coming back.

 Not surprised he said that. I would expect anything else from him. He does make it seem like he’s and Carson are coming back. 

Honestly, it's not like Hurts was lighting it up as a passer today. His mobility was useful to counter WFT's pass rush. I've always liked Sudfeld as a backup. As pointed out by others, had he come in with an offense consisting of starters, he probably would have looked respectable. Unfortunately, Sudfeld was thrown to the wolves. Hurts' mobility was the only real difference. 

Watching Sudfeld play i was wondering the point of even having a 3rd string quarterback. That spot could go to having an extra lineman or db. I mean, if you lose your 2 qb's, your chances of winning a game is slim to none and thats where you put someone like Greg Ward in as qb to let him finish. Just a thought.

Barnett is more likely than M. Jackson to be here next year. 10 Million isn't a lot for a solid, starting DE that can rush the passer. If Barnett hit free agency, he'd get more than that from some team. It would probably be a team in our division too.

I didn't hear what Doug said, but Hurts didn't get his feet set on that throw and the ball did exactly what you would expect. McNabb used to do that a lot.

It’s clear we tanked. The whole nfl and fans saw it. You don’t throw in a qb who was a healthy scratch all year and Carson who was a scratch today and say you were gonna try and win the game. This game was tanked from the get go when we benched 10 starters

Really this squad was worse than the bad teams the Eagles usually put out there. These were backups to backups. Hurts mobility’s helped, but frankly he didn’t have a great game, but he’s throwing to bad football players. Sudfeld was screwed cause he couldn’t run around like Hurts could. The truth here is WTF stunk so bad they made a team full of PS players look good.

That's what people have been saying all year. The truth is, on offense, most of the guys playing today started games with Wentz in there (many at the same time, too).

This isn’t enough to get the Eagles under the cap. There will be a culling of this roster.

I don’t think anyone is believing that Carson was out there playing with great talent, but all of Carson’s were not just due to the people around him. The guy has fundamental problems and he’s made it clear he’s not willing to change. The fact you’re comparing Dudfeld to Carson just looks worse for Carson. 

Giant fans have their panties all twisted because we didn't help get their 6-10 team in the playoffs. Not our job.
