Patriots, Redskins, or Bears could trade up to #8.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Wow Carolina.

I'm not sure why it would be surprising.

Hubert Davis replacing Williams at UNC.  Probably the most logical name.  Should be well received in the program.  Williams probably made that call himself and just needed the AD and Chancellor to sign off on it.

I think the fan base is going to have a pretty mixed reaction to Hubert Davis.  It is Roy's call but it feels much like the move to Guthridge after Dean Smith retired.

If all 4 playmakers, the 2 OTs, and the top CB is gone by the time the Eagles pick, barring a very enticing trade compensation, the Eagles might not be left with any coherent choice but to draft the 5th QB still left.

Parsons would be BPA at that point — or whoever the #2 CB on the draft board is

No chance in hell they take a LB, no chance. I don't see Howie passing on a QB for the 2nd best CB on the board. At that point it's either trade down or QB.

Are the Panthers going to have a QB competition between Teddy Bridgewater & Sam Darnold?

Lance or Fields will be there at #12. Now does Howie pull the trigger? I say yes.

Nope

This is a very reasonable scenario:

This opens the door for the Eagles to Trade down again. They clearly dont want a QB and the talent between 12ish and 24ish is nothing.

I think it's possible but it really depends whether it looks 4 or 5 QBs are going in the top 12 picks.  I mean Carolina trading for Darnold takes them out of the market but I think the question is whether Denver picks a QB.  They have apparently shown interest in Trey Lance and Mac Jones.  They have an obvious need and a team like NE, Washington or Chicago being willing to trade up for a pick.  I think there's a bigger difference in talent at certain positions.  I think there's definitely 3 top WRs.  There are 2 very good OT prospects.  I think there's probably a drop off in CBs after the top 2.  My guess is that there are 3 to 4 players they would pick at 12 and probably at one they would consider trading up for a bit to select.  Of course if the League views the talent between 12 and 24 as not that great a value, it's not like there's going to be a bunch of teams willing to give up a bunch to trade up.

But it's going to be a dance competition/bake off.

It does.  I think a good portion of the fan base wanted to go after a bigger name.  The difference between this transition and Dean to Guhtridge, is Gutheridge didn’t really want to be HC and told them he’d give UNC 2 years. Davis is 10 years younger than when Guthridge took over.

I think Davis went to UNC, in part, with the idea of being a head coach.  Guthridge had turned down opportunities to leave UNC.  I don't know if he didn't want the position.  What I always heard is that Dean Smith basically told UNC he wanted Guthridge to get the job.  The idea was he was a placeholder for Roy Williams.  In any event, I think the big similarity is the lack of prior head coaching experience and going from assistant to Roy to head coach.

If we moved down and still come away with Waddle or smith or a top corner, i dont see how anyone could crapon the move to get another first next yr

even if Chase is there...

Chase at 12 should require zero thought

especially if they think Denver wants one of the QBs or the one they want.

He wont be at 12 i meant at 6

Someone photoshop Chase with a bong

The Eagles are a threat to take any position at #12. That should scare some QB needy teams to jump us.

Sean Lee and Luke Kuechly prove otherwise.

If Sean Lee is in your top 2, that proves the point.

Carolina may also be a prime trade down candidate; trying to reacquire some of the draft capital used to get Darnold.

Lol Panther just signed Bridgewater too

Devin White

Sewell will end up in Carolina

Love Watson but no point of trading for him. This team is in rebuild mode and he will be old by the time they can build a team around him. Literally makes no sense.

Dang that possibly takes Car out of QB pick at 8 then...

Not possibly.  They wont be taking a QB at 8.
