Jamin Davis is a late first early second. St.-Juste a second or early third.

My apologies.  I didn't mean to be so dumb and acquire them later than that.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Milton Williams was an excellent interview on NFL Radio last week; I wonder if that skill moved him up some boards

Glad to see Williams finally getting the attention he deserves

Just saying it's not really realistic is all

None of these simulators are realistic , for entertainment only .

I don’t see it , I don’t think he slides into rd 2

Kiper on potential draft surprises: "I think Dyami Brown, the wide receiver from North Carolina, could slide into the late first

From Bob McGinn of the athletic

. Trey Lance, North Dakota State (6-foot-4, 224, no 40 time, Round 1): Turned down the chance to play safety at his home-state Big Ten team (Minnesota) and spent three seasons in Fargo. Won all 17 of his starts.

"He and Jordan Love, there might not be much difference between them,” said one scout. "He’s not that accurate with the ball. He’s got some mechanical flaws. He drops his weight and then comes back up to kind of generate some power from his lower body. His accuracy is a little erratic. People say he’s a developmental guy. You’re going to draft this guy and sit him for a year? He needs to play. He’s thrown (318) passes in his life. Mahomes threw 300 passes in six weeks at Texas Tech. But how do you take the guy and throw him out there when he’s this green?”

Compiled a passer rating of 130.1 in 2019. In 2020, against a Central Arkansas team that finished 5-4, he had a passer rating of just 72.8 in a 39-28 victory. He also ran for 143 yards. "He might (bust) because of the competition,” said a second scout. "I would be scared as hell to have to draft him. Maybe you fall in love with the workout, then a year later you’re getting a divorce. He’s good but he’s not Cam Newton, I’ll tell you that right now. Don’t confuse him with Cam Newton. He won a (FBS) national championship. This kid’s coming from North Dakota State.”

Led the Bison to the FCS national title in 2019. Finished with a career passer rating of 125.3. Has small hands (9 1/8). "What scares me?” said a third scout. "Inability to throw a catchable football. If you really watch Trey Lance, all the receivers have to make unbelievable adjustments to his throws. He only throws 16 to 18 times a game because of the offense. He’s not a real thrower. I may be wrong on this but, my God, he’s at least three years away.” From Marshall, Minn.

I just got around to watching the Roseman/Siri/Weidl press conference. When I watch Siri talk, I feel like that time I smoked too much weed by accident. Weidl always has this look like he's gonna punch the F out of someones face. Howie is the master of the deflect. He also blinked morse code to AustinFan. I translated it to "Lets spoon".

Smoked too much weed?  Not sure that is possible.

What about a scenario where the first 4 picks are QBs, Cincinnati picks Sewell, Miami picks Pitts, Detroit either picks a defensive player (Parsons) or trades down to a team that wants the 5th QB.  The Eagles trade with Carolina for pick 8 (maybe picks 12 and 84 get it done) and pick Chase.  They would still get a guy most of us wanted all along and also net the extra 1st next year.

This scenario looks a little more real now but use pick 70 and Ertz in the trade up.

I would be thrilled if WRs like Toney & Brown go in RD1. Push down those LBs/EDGEs

Depends on how the Eagles attack the draft.

If we go edge (Paye) at 12, it probably means Howie is banking on those WRs being available to us later.

If we go WR at 12, then we’ll want those edges.

Gil Brandt just said on NFL Radio he sees 6 QBs drafted in the first round.  Lawrence, Wilson, Fields 3rd, Lance 4th, then Mac Jones the fifth QB off the board.  He says Davis Mills will be taken by someone if he’s still available at #27 or 28.

I wanted to like Davis Mills’ tape — I just didn’t.  Hard to imagine him going off the board before the 3rd round.  If folks think Dyami Brown is a first round pick, though, then I guess it’s just a land rush.

Championship...

I have been saying Davis late rd 1 early 2nd , quickest release of all the QBs in the draft , big , smart , plenty of arm ... just lacks starts

draft him and sit him a year or so

84 should do it according to the draft values.

If a QB falls any chance Pats offer 15 and  JC Jackson for 12?  He’s on last year of his deal and put a 2nd round tender on him.  I think the value works then you can go Parsons, Paye, Bateman, Waddle, or Phillips at 15.  Thoughts?

Big arm small brain

wouldnt touch him until the fifth

I brought him up last night because of the potential, when did Oweh get in the 1st round pick conversation?  Late 2nd/3rd rounder IMO.

He goes to Stanford, I'm willing to bet he's a smart dude.

That was my first reaction. But there's smart and then there's football smart. He may need time to develop football smarts.

I don’t think Patriots would make that move
