Given that Boogie is a redshirt senior, I’d be more comfortable if he slid to 70 - but I agree he’s too polished to make it that far... I kind of figure we are going CB/WR/ obvious BPA with our first two picks, so Basham isn’t in the cards for us. If Howie trades back in either round, and gets a mid 2nd... oh yeah.

These are players who could sneak into rd 1 , list

I like Basham , I just prefer to stay 22 and under , unless it’s a QB or RB with low miles

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This website has the most realistic draft simulator, in my opinion.  https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-draft-simulator.  It is a lot more realistic with trades, too. It's tougher to get a great draft.  The PFF mock and PFN mock are too easy.

This is cool.  I’ve done this a few times now, and noted that several of the times both top corners and all of the top receivers are gone at 12.  Would be a terrible scenario for the Eagles and would call the early trade down into question.

I don't how you Phillies fans take it. Each year, I see the same posts about pitching (or the lack thereof).  Joe Banner would have something to say on that.

Lots of chatter about AVT , and him not lasting much past pick 10  , good player but I would be shocked , but I expect to be shocked often this draft

do no want AVT out of round 1

and are we pre-emptively banning HE for tipping picks?

I'm holding steady that the surprise pick at 37 is going to be Travis Etienne.  I wouldn't HATE it because he is a playmaker but I certainly think they have many more needs....until you think about it.

-Miles Sanders is going in to year 3 and hasn't played a full season yet, has, never even attended a mini camp with the Eagles.

-Jordan Howard is a borderline camp body.

-Boston Scott is a step above a JAG and almost every back in this draft is an upgrade over him.

-Siriani had 2 very good RB in Indy with Jonathan Williams and Marlon Mack.  I think he might prioritize a better #2 RB than people think.  I want one of the Tier2 WR at 37 but if you look at the roster, the investment at WR is greater than it's been at RB so they might be more open to salvaging what they have in the WR room before adding a new one and adding to the RB room first.

It's easy to ignore how good Etienne is because it seems like he's been at Clemson forever.  He just turned 22 which surprised me.  Thought he would be 24.

Etienne reminds me of a combo of Marshall Faulk and Le'Veon Bell.  Not saying he's as good as them but his style of play the way he's patient, always seems to have his shoulders forward and is an excellent receiving back just fits their style of play.  He's 5-10, 215 ran a 4.45.

Why would we ban me for something I've never done?

If the Falcons trade Julio and then take a position other than QB that would be so stupid.

General principle.

i recall HE tipping picks last year - but in more of a passive aggressive style - the Hurts pick especially

I'm not sure why this is a thing. I want to know who we get as soon as possible.

You can p.m. me if you want. I want to know.

Can he catch and pass block? Because I don't take a RB the first two days who isn't above average in those two areas - I'm happy with a Howard type at #2 who'll just grind out yardage, what makes a back special is the ability to stay on the field for 3 downs (similar to LBs).

Catching for a RB doesn't mean stopping and facing the QB, most RBs can do that, but the ability to run WR type routes and catch the ball over your shoulder like a WR. The best at that was Westbrook with those big soft hands and the ability to track the ball.

makes so little sense to take an RB before day 3.

too many other priority positions to fill. have Sanders under contract for two more years

He's one of the top pass catching RB, if not the top one in college football.  He's a natural receiving back, hence the Marshall Faulk comparison.

You can add it to the list of needs.  Miles Sanders hasn't played a full season yet.  Siriani likes to have multiple RB.  Jordan Howard and Boston Scott aren't scaring anyone.

RB2 is a need.

all in due time. I love Etienne, but thats not where we should be investing early picks yet.

So in their worst case scenario draft, The Athletic panned the idea of drafting a punter in the seventh round on value.  I disagree.  A consistent great punter can change field position and is like a member of the defense.  Now, they picked Duffy.  My choice would be James Smith. His consistency on punts downed inside the twenty is phenomenal.

Given the quality of the third day this year, a top punter is certainly worth a 6th rd pick, now an average punter can be picked up off the street, so don't waste a pick.

I agree, I don't want Etienne at 37 but wouldn't be shocked because RB2 is a huge need.  There are good backs throughout the draft.

Rhamondre Stevenson, Trey Sermon and Michael Carter are all guys I would also keep my eyes on.  They all played at the Senior Bowl and the Eagles always seem to put a lot of value in that game.  Probably more this year than in years past with no combine.
