Our WRs were better than last season. Don’t try to blame a rookie WR for the faults of Wentz.

LOL, Look, Why was Wentz able to throw effectively to Fulgham and not effectively to Reagor?

Maybe because Fulgham was where he was supposed to be, and would actually track and catch the ball?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Can't wait for Hurts to become disgruntled and demand a trade too.

Doubtful that will ever happen around here.  Two completely different histories and careers.

Hurts has been more of the "underdog" type.  Benched and replaced in Alabama then came back and had a stellar year in Oklahoma.  Then he gets drafted not to be the "franchise QB".  Not even to be a starter.  He was drafted to be a backup.  Comes in late in the season (because his team struggles) and shows flashes.

As opposed to Wentz who has always been "the guy" here, drafted to be the "franchise QB" and started out that way since day 1.

Then Wentz gets hurt after having a stellar year in 2017, Foles comes in and takes the team to the Super Bowl and wins it.  The next season, Foles takes over again once Wentz was hurt and takes the team to the playoffs.  The following year, Wentz struggles in the beginning but gets very hot during the last 4 games and takes the team to the playoffs.  1st playoff game, he gets hurt early and taken out by a dirty hit by Clowney.

Then this year happens when everything that could go wrong, went wrong with him.  If you're Carson Wentz, the thought that maybe "it wasn't meant to be" in Philly has had to cross your mind.  And can you blame him?

He reminds me of a dude that was a line cook under me back when I was a sous chef in Towson MD.  Dude had a weird sense of humor, soft spoken but goofy.   We laughed a lot.

I'm curious to hear him mic'd up during a game and what he sounds like because I'm not sure he has a pulse when answering these questions.

I wish i had the video but on Twitter you can find it. During the game he’s on the sideline when they benched him and began to tank of him saying "that’s not right” and "he did his job we scored”

Told you guys there would be a lot of Wentz butt kissing if Hurts play badly yesterday

To be fair, I have question on both Chase and SMith.   Chase being out a year, concerns me. Smith is a very slight built WR. If I have those questions, I tell you the eagles do as well. And since they never draft skill positions that highly, I believe they pass on them anyway. They will likely draft either OL or DL, highest rated player avail, or trade back a few spots, rinse wash repeat.

We have a year with Burrows and Jefferson tape on Chase. I do worry about his development.  Ruggs is a subject lesson on speed receivers.  I don’t think Smith holds up in the NFL. I was wrong about DJax but I have similar concerns about Smith.

This team is F'd up. They did this to themselves.

1) Relying on older often injured players who you paid handsomely, guys like Djax, Alshon, JP -

2) Bad Bad Bad Drafting- Guys Like Sidney Jones, JJAW, etc

3) Using a 2nd rd pick on a QB, when you clearly needed more talent around your Franchise QB, based on the above. and inviting in a QB controversy

4) By not calling a balanced attack to help protect your badly injured Oline, and young inexperienced WR's and understandably struggling QB.

They clearly have outsmarted themselves, over and over and over again.

I'm hoping a top 6 pick is high enough for even Howie to screw up. At 9 I would be a little nervous.

Press. Conferences. Don't. Matter.

oh yeah, like what organization is going to say yeah my qb sucks we have to trade him asap? like you really think they are going to say stuff like that?

A pick that high is sort of dictated to you.  You are picking amongst one of three possibilities at that point.

Not sure if it’s exactly butt kissing. Also not sure how anyone thought hurts or any QB would play well yesterday considering who was out and what OL they had yesterday. Personally there’s one of these three things going on

1. they don’t want to eat 34 million in dead money next year so they need to smooth things over with wentz even if it means a short term marriage which means if he’s likely back can’t have dysfunction between him, doug and the organization

2. they are trying to make to so teams don’t know or think there’s a fracture like was reported. If that was confirmed and known as true then teams know with doug coming back they have to get rid of him and his value drops even more than it did this year with teams knowing that.

3. they realize wentz is better bet going forward after what they saw from Hurts down the stretch and last night. Trying to get back into a good place with him and the organization.

Dude, admit you were wrong and move along.

At no point, beginning of the college season, after the college season, after the combine or draft night was Reagor a top 5 prospect.

He was never ranked higher than Ruggs, Lamb, Jeudy, Jefferson or Higgins.  And generally never higher than Aiyuk, Shenault or Claypool.  Consensus most of the way was a 2nd round pick.

You're arguing to argue at this point.  It's ok to admit you're wrong too.  You weigh post-combine rankings a lot more than I do, which isn't necessarily wrong.  It's why people like Burrow can go #1 overall, when the year prior people like Lock fall to the second, while pre season nobody must keep an eye on Josh Allen goes #7.  The draft is a crap shoot.

Reagor had just came off a 1k season with 9 tds.  After an 8 td frosh performance as a role player.  It was a stacked class from top to bottom and a few names came out of nowhere.  Going into the season you could list about 7 or 8 WR's that could possibly have been the #3 WR off the board after Lamb and Jeudy and neither of them ended up being the 1st WR off the board.

This sounds just like the high ceiling conversation we had last spring in the Jefferson/Reagor debates.  After one year, injury plagued at that, all of a sudden Reagor’s potential for a high ceiling is gone.  I don’t buy it.  I will say that Jefferson’s ceiling appears as high as @Iggles_Phan and I predicted and no, he isn’t just a slot WR.

We said he was the best WR in the class, and I 100% stand behind that statement.

I will say this one more time, AT NO TIME DURING THE PROCESS WAS REAGOR CONSIDERED A TOP 5 PICK.

With the 6th pick in the NFL Draft, the Eagles select Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami.

Honestly the eagles suck. Just take the best available player (except RB). Don’t worry about position as your entire team is bad so you could use help at like nearly every position.

Reagor was the consensus #3 WR in the draft till the typical combine media spin and his numbers weren't as many thought.  Ruggs became the darling of the crowd then, a few joined the Jefferson bandwagon after his combine as well.  Somewhere in there a lot forgot about Reagor as the general thought was pre-combine he possibly wouldn't be available.  There was actually a pretty decent chunk on the Shenault bandwagon.

No where did I ever see, read, hear, watch that Reagor was the consensus # 3. It was always Jeudy/Lamb/Ruggs. Then Jefferson, then from there it was mixed. Jeremiah didn't even have this guy in his top 50 in any of his 4 prospect ranking lists dating back to last January.

or maybe they wont talk anything bad about him so they can trade him because teams wont trade for bad qbs if the coaches say that.

Yea I remember that. I just mean in general. When the team is down and need to rally to come back, does he have any fire to motivate the team? He honestly sounds like he’s falling asleep when he’s talking to the media.

Did you even bother to read no. 2? Probably not cause if you did that is what that paragraph alludes too. 🤦‍♂️

I think he will be a good number 2 that has drops and frustrating moments. Kind of like Aggy.

Hardly.  Agholor played 15 games his second full season and put up 365 yards on 35 catches.

If Reagor plays 15 games next season he will double that yardage total.
