He is not a nickel back. They project him at that because he is under 6’ and ran in the high 4.4s.   McPherson is an outside CB.  Little aggressive but other than Gowan, would be my choice at CB here. Nice skill set and great twitch. Pretty fluid.  Not a Pumphrey so obviously Howie was reading my posts last night.

Would still rather have gone lineman, but all indications are he is a good talent.

The issue is level of competition. Going from Texas Tech to the NFL is a huge jump. The Big 12 is not known for developing CBs.

Biggest issue is he is a great athlete not much of a football player.

The good news? We need LOTS of CBs. Still time to pick one of those guys in RD5. We really only have 2 CBs on the roster (Slay, Maddox).

Looking at some breakdown, he panics with his back to the ball, grabs, and does not get his head around.  Perfect Eagle CB.

I wonder why in the F Kenneth Gainwell hasn't been taken yet.

Might as well release Ertz now and sign a free agent corner before it's too late.

Yep. Howie still doing Howie. Drafting high athleticism guys instead of football players. McPherson is another guy like Davion Taylor last season.
