I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The Flyers didn't have 2 of their best 7 forward in the playoffs (Lindblom, Patrick). That doomed them against the vicious Isles forecheck.

The Flyers are good enough to make a cup run.

What was wrong with the Carolina offense?

Total Offense Rankings Eagles 26, Carolina 24.

18th- Passing / 21st- Rushing

Just not very impressive with all the Hype out there about the combo of Matt and Joe.

Their play calling was awesome when you watch their all 22. If bridgewater wasn’t bridgewater they actually would’ve been really fun to watch. If he stays in Carolina (looking doubtful) draft a QB with getting mccaffrey back and bring back Samuel that should be fun to watch.

Brady’s scheme should be the least of our concerns. At his age/inexperience, can he hire a good staff? Can he command a locker room? Is he organized enough to oversee the program, not just the offense?

I wonder if he’d bring Aaron Glenn from the Saints to he DC.

I'm not sure I would agree with him just having 2 bad/poor picks in last 5 years.

Sure JJAW and Jones - Busts

all were very questionable with where they were taken and what other players were drafted after them, (not necessarily at their position)

Reagor- jury still out on - at best even if he does work out, likely will never be worthy of his draft slot. Dillard may end up being in the same category.

Hurts- wasted 2nd rd pick, you dont spend a 2nd on a Backup QB when your team has so many more needs.

Some would argue Barnett has never lived up to his 1st rd draft slot.

2018 Only 5 picks - 5 Players  (Goedert, Maddox, Sweat ,Pryor, Mialata - good draft no throw aways)

2019 Only 5 picks 2 players (Dillard, Sanders OK - Fail on JJAW & Miller - last one - throw away )

2020 - 10 picks too early to tell on players BUT

Rowe, Aggy, - Chip's picks, Rowe is a starting SS, Agholor is a starting outside WR,

Douglas, Hollins, Pump - Douglas is starting (and late 3rd), Pump was a bad choice. Jones is starting. Hollins is a solid ST, 4th WR, fine at where he was drafted.

Barnett is a solid starting DE, he's not the sackmeister people want, but those are rare, but he can hold the edge and get pressure, not great, not a flop.

DIllard is just bad luck, he should have been the starting LT, they drafted him for his second season. Sanders is fine.

No HRs but not a lot of strikeouts either. In other words, typical drafts when you don't pick in the top 20 and trade away picks.

And the jury is out, Dillard was a top LT prospect, Mailata is looking like a future all pro, in two years if they're our bookend OTs for the rebuild, suddenly these drafts look pretty good.

Again had mccaffrey for 3 games. Bridgewater is a mediocre and limits them. Add on their oline is as bad as ours and that was guys they expected to play. The panthers nearly had 3 1000 yard receivers.

Anderson: 1096 yarde

moore: 1193 yards

samuel: 851 yards

Just a point on Ryan Day.  He has been talked about as a HC candidate independently of the Eagles job over the past month or so.  But I would be on board with Brady or Saleh. Ding, ding

Your stats make it worse. they had 3 good WRs, we have zero. Not like we had the best RBs either and same with oline. Panthers still had better players then Eagles and didnt do much better.

Again Id rather have Brian Daboll. Tons of experience with winning teams in both NFL and college. Did a great job with Allen with all his issues he started with. Just hope the Bills lose this weekend so we can get this moving :)

The young guys should continue to improve this year. Still worry about their defense come playoff time. They stunk getting the puck out of their zone and really didn’t do anything to improve that this offseason. I really wish they could deal JVR off to get the space

Biggest problem in the bubble was four months off, two of the hottest teams when play ended were the Flyers and Bruins, and both struggled in the playoffs.

I can see the Flyers struggling for the first month for similar reasons, AV pushes conditioning b/c he likes to roll four lines on short shifts going full speed, and it was hard to get into shape with those four months off and everything shut down, at least players were better prepared for the situation this fall.

Defense will be an issue if Ghost is injured, and not just out for a week for COVID, losing Niskanen really hurts.

But Provorov, Sanheim and Myers are at the age where it's time to take the next step up.

And Hart can cover a multitude of sins.

Not bad when you consider their oline heading into the season was considered one of the worst in the league and bridgewater was the QB and they lost their best player for 13 games.

Good Lord, please Brooklyn do that so the Sixers don't.  I want nothing to do with him.  Maxey looks like the real deal and I'd hate to see him in the package.

Eagles signed the punter. I guess they are going to cheap out and not tender Johnston

When you suck, you suck... lean into the tank with a bad punter.   Might get a comp pick for Johnston.

The panthers offensive line to start the year was worse than the eagles oline. Like the eagles worst offensive line was what the panthers went into the season with and played with all year. That is a HUGE reason.

Add on they lost their best player in mccaffrey for 13 games. And bridgewater is not a good QB.

I never said i didn’t want daboll but the panthers problems wasn’t a schematic issue.

Yup.

Edit: Although I won’t put much of the struggles on losing CMC, but I’m more of a "RBs don’t matter” kinda guy.

My bigger issue is replacing niskanen at the moment. I didn’t think they adequately did it. I get he wasn’t good in the bubble but before the bubble he definitely was a nice addition.

I don’t believe in ghost. Frankly i think the flyers would be thrilled to unload him if someone would take him tbh.

don’t disagree the four months off was brutal to the flyers. They were the hottest team and i think it’s really hard to recapture that once you are not playing for months. I think they are a top 2 seed but i still don’t think they are quite there as a cup winner. Unless frost, Oscar and Patrick just play like we think they are going to be in a couple years this season. I think Oscar that’s realistic since he’s fully recovered from his cancer. Patrick and frost i still think need time to get there.

Carolinas record stats whatever is irrelevant after a year, Panther coach could have took anyone, he took Brady, Brady is interviewing everywhere for a reason. The pick is as good as any, there are no guarantees. If we are keeping Wentz this is one of the better options to turn him around. The best educated guess IMO.

When he gets to 34 his game is going to drop off cause he didn’t take care of his body. He looks like shamu in those blue jerseys. He’s 32. You have to work even harder and keep yourself in better shape cause you are older. Instead he looks like zack galafanakis from the hangover.

My friend just texted me his nickname is now James Larden lol

He and Embiid could hit the buffets together if he came here.      That is not a bonding experience for a basketball team though.
