Losing Stout is a tough one. He's a great coach and has done a great job with the OL, all things considered.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Makes sense. If you're the OC who develops Trevor Lawrence, you'll have a HC job waiting. Urban is not a play-caller anymore, so he'll let his staffs coach.

Losing Stoutland is easily the worst possible outcome. WOW.

It's sad to see him go but I think it was inevitable.

Must be another one of those times when "the guy we really wanted was taken a few picks ahead of us".........

Chip did the same thing and I think it helped.

There it is.

Between Taylor and Hurts alone, 2020 was one of the most tone deaf and hubristic drafts Ive ever seen

Just pissing away valuable picks thinking we had the luxury of waiting years for them to develop and if not, oh well.  Totally misguided

Yup

Dude sat back and cherry picked his spot. Good for him

1st overall

100 million under the cap

11 draft picks this year

O, and in a nice weathered non sports city with a euro owner.

AAAANNNNDDDDDD  still wont end well.

Here's how the top will actually play out:

Jags - Lawrence

Jets - Sewell

Dolphins - Smith

Falcons - Wilson

Bengals - Chase

Eagles - Trade down for a team that wants Fields.

If the Redskins get... Dak... Wentz... Trey Lance.. Tyrod Taylor(ya I said it) someone with decent passing skills and the mobility to make up for that O line, ya, I think the Redskins are the favorites in east.

Tyrod Taylor is a serviceable NFL QB.  With their defense, all they need is an average offense that doesn't do anything dumb to give the ball away.

Stoutland was great! It's a big loss.

If we hire Saleh and we run the Shanahan outside zone offense, then getting a new OL coach is not as big of a deal.
If we hire Brian Daboll or Arthur Smith, then it's a big problem.

I have gotten used to not expecting much production from our drafts.

Reagor , Hurts, taylor & Wallace

Dillard, JJAW & Miller

Jones, Douglas, Hollins and Pumphrey

We have not drafted well the past 3 years in the first 4 rds.

Rumor was that if the Falcons hired Fontenot, they'd also hire Joe Brady.

At this time I'm trading back at 6. We are in a major retooling period and give me a package of picks rather than 1 player at 6. It's going to hurt to watch the two wide receivers go off the board but thank Howie for Fing us.

When he doesn't make the roster next season it will be because he didn't fit the new system.  The system being football.

Guess the falcons will also be better than us having a real GM like this

Not in the least.  Burrow looked good, but was incomplete.   Herbert looked great.  But you can’t set a bar now for a rookie QB that has to come in and play great right away.  It’s for the long haul.   RG3.

Not setting a bar.  Just said I dont think Lawrence will be impressive right away like Burrow and Herbert.  Doesnt mean he wont be good in year 2, 3 and beyond.

Arent the Saints and Falcons rivals?  I'd feel weird hiring someone from the NYG or Dallas to be the GM in Philly.

Howie blames McNabb.

ahh, my mistake, but it was McCarthy's first, likely were some wrinkles?

"Prediction" That will not end well for Urban.

Disagree.  I think Urban Meyer is one of the best coaches anywhere.  I predict he will have the Jaguars in the playoffs and contending in two seasons.

Losing Stoutland is a bummer.  What am amazing coach.  But seriously, who expected a guy like that to stay?  Why?

I don't care who the Eagles hire.  A head coach can't solve the issues with this team.  I'd like to see Duce get his chance, but it is almost unfair to him.

Beginning to think Lurie molested Howie when he was an unpaid intern and if he's ever fired Howie talks.  I kid but geez this article pretty much says Howie will never be fired.

College coaches from big programs are shocked to find out they can't recruit players in the NFL, and that there's a salary cap.
