I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Wow now the nfl has turned to don't hire a white guy hire a minority and receive a bonus

That's racist

Not sure how that works with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 https://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/07/opinion/only-minorities-need-apply.html

Agree

its underated what a number 1 receiver can do for a QB.  Look at Dak's numbers before Cooper showed up.  Diggs, AJ Brown are all such examples.

Wait Joe, I thought they already had someone in mind.

Well, it was pretty obvious that Pederson had lost it, he didn't want a strong OC, so we had OC by committee and it was dreadful.

The only positive thing Pederson did, other than manage a veteran clubhouse, was to recognize that Foles was a great RPO QB (his year under Chip).

Then he tried to turn Wentz into Foles with a stronger arm.

Everyone wants to blame the talent at WR, but AR made it work with Johnson/Smalls, Thrash/Pinkston/Freeman or Mitchell. And Celek, the receiving TE who ran a 5.0 40.

Piling on Doug some more, eh?   Maybe Doug was tired of listening to Howie drone on and on.   Howie seems to have equally 'lost it'... but you'll defend him to the hilt.   Sad that you can't see that if Pederson lost it, it might be due to the CRAP he was working with at WR for the last 2 years.    Thanks Howie.

EDIT:  Sorry, it was actually closer to the last 3 years...

If Daboll is smart enough to know that the best way to develop your q.b. is to surround him with talent, he's the guy for me

To bad Howie is still his personal shopper.

I have such an irrational hatred of cole Beasley. He just looks like a little weasel

Almost as punchable as Payton

For the record, Banner said he believes they have a guy in mind but that they will interview a lot of people.

Guys who come from organizations that believe in analytics

- Joe Brady (Carolina)
- Robert Saleh (SF)
- Brian Daboll (Buf)
- Jerod Mayo (NE)

Makes it less likely we pick Arthur Smith or Todd Bowles IMO.

So it was just his opinion then. I think I might have assumed insider info.

I agree with your first point, Doug did not want a strong OC

Your second point, I will agree Doug Allowed the game plan to be changed to fit Foles strengths, I am not sure it was Doug who noticed that.

Agree, he tried to make Wentz Foles.

Disagree with the WR comment to a degree. It took a really good Defense, and a McNabb pulling plays out of his bum, to make up for the lack of talent at WR. The one year we had a good TO we shot straight to being the best team in the NFL as a result. It took the Pats spygate to beat us in the SB.

He didn't tear his ACL

What did he do to his knee?

I was also wondering this morning do analytics take into account how good a football team is? Like Pedersen always going for it when we had a snowball's chance of getting it.

ACL? His 21-day return to practice window opened at the end of the year.

Oh... what did he injure then?  MCL sprain?

I’m fine with that list I’m warming to Saleh but want Brady

I have the analytics of how many games the eagles pissed me off in the 2020 season.... it was all 16 games.

Changed to my order of preference.

Just happy the pre-season was cancelled.

It doesn't take into account momentum, actual opponent, effect on team if unsuccessful, how smart/stupid the opponent is, weather conditions -- nada

It goes by averages and historical data over short or long periods of time.

Doug didn’t want a strong OC but hired Reich, who clearly was a strong OC.

AF... no. This isn’t about not wanting a strong OC, he simply was too loyal to his own guys.
