I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

My dad was raised on a ranch in the Great Depression.  The view he was raised on was animals serve a purpose.  Dogs and cats weren’t pets, they were workers.  The dog herded the cattle especially the milk cows.  Shep was fed table scraps.  Cats too, if much of anything. They were kept hungry because they were barn cats and that inspired them to do their job, which was kill and eat rodents, especially flickertails.  Both were encouraged to eat the occasional wayward rabbit too.  The dog and the cats never went inside the house.  My dad would laugh at our reactions to that and say neither would the horses. My uncle had the place when I was a kid and my cousins say that approach with the dog and cats was pretty much true when they were growing up.

This is interesting enough on its own, but if you pretend Morgan Freeman is narrating this, it makes it even better.

Chris Mortenson suggested Doug wasn’t behind playing Sudfeld. It was the front office pulling his strings. I don’t believe that for a second. Just like I don’t believe it was all Howie in the decision to draft Hurts.

Doug needs to go.

OMG, I am so excited, but I will hold off telling you.  Surprise coming to TATE soon.

Unless you guess. @Bwestbrook36 and @4for4EaglesNest are excluded from guessing.

You're flying a banner over the the building telling Lurie to fire everyone?

Woohoo! Page 50!

You're dropping the banner, and pulling Howie behind the plane instead and taking him out of town??

That'd be epic

To be fair not one of those receivers had Carson or hurts throwing behind 13 o line combinations with doug and 27 offensive coaches calling plays with howie deciding which one of them play..

Yeah but it's not like the Jets, Bengals, Jaguars actually have good lines or quarterbacks either.

I don't think people will love this as much as you lol.

You and I had similar thoughts on this.

That settles it.  Doug P and Joe Judge will compete in the feats of strength next December 23.

Bengals did for a minute.

And denzel mims with the Jets did no better than reagor.

Shenault was meh this year. Nothing special wouldn't have fared any better in Philly.

She’s the podcast producer.

Whether its Wentz or Hurts, just fixing the OL and getting the WRs a year of coaching and weight room work will make a big difference next season.

I think the key isn't Howie, but Lurie making it clear that it's time to rebuild, so Howie or the next GM can shed contracts, veterans, trade for more picks, etc.

It's usually the owner who is the last to accept a rebuild, we saw that with Snider, b/c it means taking crap for a few years and often losing money (more in other sports as the Linc will still be packed next fall, vaccine permitting). Lurie got a sugar rush with Chip, followed by a crash, so it's understandable that he's not excited about hiring the "next hot coach."

The good news is there's enough talent here to be competitive while rebuilding, you don't need to add a bunch of talent to the offense. All you need from Brooks and Lane is to hold up long enough to develop Dillard, Herbig, Driscoll, maybe Juriga or Prince, and a mid-round draft pick or two. Adding a WR like Smith would help, but really any solid WR would give you a deep group with upside, same at TE where a 3rd to 5th rd pick could complement Goedert and JJAW (and maybe Butler/Wilson). Which means the offense should at least be middle of the pack, better if they add a mid-round power runner to go with Sanders and Scott.

That would allow a DC to play an aggressive scheme with a bunch of young athletes learning on the job - win some, lose some, but at least it'll be more entertaining than a bend but don't break with CBs playing 10 yards off WRs and safeties who play deep b/c they lack speed.

I'd be happy with 7-9 next year with a young hungry team with upside - and a lot fewer games lost to injury!

AFan... bless you and your optimism... but I don't think a single offseason has gone by without you saying this about a player or position group - usually naming Barry Rubin specifically - and the year comes and goes and they still suck 😋

(And for the record, I always appreciate your posts and often agree with you) :showoff:

Ok if she has no role other than silently chuckling every so often why is she pictured?

Just seems weird, I mean there isn't some unspoken rule that says the podcast producer must be mute.

I'm willing to bet if the producer were a man he'd be  chiming in every 30 seconds.

Did give the podcast more of a suspenseful element though, I was like here it comes she's going to oh wait no never mind oh wait here she goes nope false alarm all the way to the end I was on the edge o my seat, will she won't she?

Very captivating...

Someone in the blog said Chase Claypool wouldn’t catch 3 more TDs all season after he scored 3 against the Eagles. He was right he scored 5 more to end up with 9.

He also said that he was a JAG and gave multiple other terrible assessments on the guy.  I don't care how horrendous the Eagles' secondary/LBs were covering him.  Anyone with eyes can see that he looks different, moves quicker and is stronger than the other athletes in the NFL.  He proved it again yesterday, and I'm sure he'll do it again this weekend.

Rough rookie season for the "JAG."  🤣

It’s personal with him, he’s been baselessly blasting Fulgham all season. Not sure what Travis did, but it had to be something.

She has to be on the Zoom call to produce the show lol.

Anyway, Fulgham is the not the worst WR on the roster. Watkins is way worse. Hightower is worse. JJAW. Etc.

Why does she speak in one???, the suspense is killing me, is she a mute, is her screen muted, is she punished if she uses words, is she being held against her will by whiney giants fans...

Too bad he wasn’t at Doug and Howie’s presser — he could have given my favorite line of that whole movie:

”What a puny plan!”
