I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I find it funny that people don't hold their $100 million QB more accountable than other players. I guess there has been a move to the Jay Cutler model of expectations for QB leadership and I missed it. Apologies for not paying attention

Oh I’m sorry we make excuses for other team leaders who are getting paid BIG MONEY and blame their silence on someone else. Which is exactly what you did.  I think it’s a ridiculous excuse you came up with for their silence

But it’s okay to make excuses for them as Cox has a102 million contract he signed. but don’t let facts of other team leaders making 102 million and being silent get in the way of your agenda. So if you’re going to hold Carson Wentz accountable for not welcoming sirianni because he has a $100 million contract then you’re better also hold Fletcher Cox accountable for saying nothing who has a $102 million dollar contract and the leader of the defense. But I’ve yet to see that post from you... wait it’s clearly Carson that’s holding him back from tweeting it

Skins got a top defense , the defense alone keeps them in games and it will only get better under year 2 of new staff. Obviously they will address the QB position , they don't need brady with their defense

I think the Niners win the NFCW next year if they can figure out their QB situation. They have  alot of good pieces already in place....they just got hit really hard with the injuries....

That’s who i think the favorite is if they figure out QB. I can’t imagine they continue on the course with Jimmy G. It’s a pretty easy contract to get out of this year and next. I think like the Rams they likely believe they are a good QB away from being a SB contender and being able to win it. If i were the niners I’d be going hard as I could to get watson. With kittle, aiyuk, deebo and mostert/Wilson you have an offense with playmakers. Use the other picks to help build up the line. Defense getting healthy should be good once again.

i am curious to see how both the Rams and niners defenses respond to losing Staley and saleh

When people say this kind of stuff it reveals their jealousy over how much money people get paid. That said the guy got benched how much more accountable should he be held?

How have people not held him accountable?

The point I made to him was how ridiculous his argument was that other players on the team didn’t welcome Nick Sirianni because they’d be making Carson Wentz look bad. Sorry I don’t buy that BS reasoning he gave as to why they didn’t. Nor his reason why the standard is different for a guy making 102 million in his contract and the leader of the defense

Meanwhile fletcher Cox makes $102 million contract, defensive leader and didn’t say a word on Twitter about sirianni or welcoming him. Yet also got the excuse that it’s likely cause he didn’t want to make Carson wentz look bad by doing so as his reasoning.

He means everyone has to agree on his point of view. I'm about to add another one.

I am hoping most of the Eagles players are as far away from football as they can and are resting, healing and reflecting. This year was an extra long grind. I am hoping they are staying away from their phones and just chilling. Rest, heal, reflect...there is plenty of time to get back into things..now is not the time...

I'll do it. But he has to take me hunting

Oh i agree with you. It’s why I didn’t care if wentz or any of them said anything. I respect the fact they just played a long season and unusual on top of that and lost a coach many probably liked.

I just find it ridiculous the OP to the original convo would make an excuse for (his excuse was still blaming Carson for Cox not doing so) others but find away to stick it to Carson and then pile on by blaming Carson for them not saying anything on social media.

Winning a Super Bowl has turned Lurie into a straight up maniac. Imagine thinking people want to listen to him drone on about nothing after his 20 minute fillibuster last week.

I am hoping the first time we here from Wentz is about him hosting the Eagles WRs for some offseason work...maybe in another month or so

I loooove Bateman. I’d be thrilled with him at 37. Kid shows up in big games. I think he’s going to be a good at the next level. I know Jeremiah compared him to Thomas. And others compared him to Keenan allen. He reminds me a lot of Ceedee Lamb.

Yep, and for the most part they are building that team directly from good drafting.  No reason to think they won't continue to find more good players.  The downside to that for them is they are going to have to start handing out some serious cash to keep their young guys together.

There will be a veteran QB available who can just manage that offense.  They should be #1 in NFCE for the next few years.

Why would he do that anyways? It's not like Sirianni just won us another super bowl. For all he knows he could turn out to be a flop.

I actually was hoping someone would’ve asked sirianni about how the process went with him. I thought kapadia had a great question about that on the podcast cause it would’ve given more insight to the process and the eagles got onto him. Frankly lurie saying it now does nothing cause it’s probably the way he wants to spin it and make it look great cause of the backlash that people on social media gave on sirianni’s introductory presser.

Purely a guess but the backlash sirianni got from eagles fans and the media for his introductory presser made him want to try to put a spin on how great the process was to find him and him in such process. I actually believe after doug’s first press conference and that went poorly that lurie came out and defended it.

Again, I like that the national media has discounted Sirianni as a mini-Reich and only hired for one player, and have pretty much ignored the good young coaching staff that has been brought in.  Let them drone on again all spring about how good the Cowboys are gonna be, how improved WFT will be with (insert QB name here), and how improved the Giants will be with Barkley returning.

It might take 2-3 seasons but the Eagles will be back to double-digit wins.  WFT is trending in the right direction, but DAL will keep underachieving and the Giants just suck.

If he doesn't talk, people complain.
If he talks, people complain.

Other than firing Howie, he can't win.
