Liz Cheney gave a great speech. It was the Truth. Now she will be cancelled out by her own party for telling the truth.

Looks Like the Moderates have had enough. (New Party is coming)

More than 100 Republican former officials to seek reforms, threaten new party

More than 100 influential Republicans plan to release a call for reforms within the GOP alongside a threat to form a new party if change isn't forthcoming, a person familiar with the effort said.

The statement, set to be released Thursday, involves a "Call for American Renewal," a credo that declares that it is imperative to "either reimagine a party dedicated to our founding ideals or else hasten the creation of such an alternative." The push will include 13 yet-to-be-revealed principles that the signatories want the GOP to embrace.

Of Course Trump would call her a Liberal. That's what you are in the GOP if you don't support the Lie. A Liberal.

It's Official. The House voted to support the Big Lie and cancel out Liz Cheney.  Sad day for The GOP. Democracy is now under threat.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/house-republicans-remove-liz-cheney-131809931.html

House Republicans ousted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) as conference chair in a voice vote Wednesday, capping months of growing backlash over her criticisms of former President Trump, according to two sources in the room.

Why it matters: The stunning removal of the No. 3 House Republican over her condemnation of Trump's election lies reflects the influence the former president still retains over the GOP.

I know CNN likes to glorify never-Trump republicans and act like they're popular, but they aren't. Democrats only pretend to like them while they're bashing someone they like less, and Republicans despise them. I do appreciate trying to get a "cancel culture" reference in there, though. A+ work.

Soon the GOP will be nothing but delusional Trumpbots and racists.

I'm okay with that.

And splitting votes with the portion of their party that left.  I fully support them splitting into two parties, just start lining up those easy Democratic wins.

I'm sure that's true, but there are a lot more independents out there than there are Republicans.  A whole lot more.

Political correspondent Jeff Greenfield lays out: 1) How we got here - 2010 midterms, the rise of the Tea party; and 2) how that lead to the Republican party now:

Quote

The pattern is striking: if you want to survive as a Republican official, you will support the former president; if you support the former president, you will support laws that reflect his conviction that the election was stolen; if you enact those rules, you are making it more possible that he will win a second term. The party is talking with one voice; the voice is Trump’s, and it’s one that plenty of Americans are still perfectly receptive to.

A record voter turnout in 2020 resulted in Democrats winning a lot of seats. Instead of making an appeal to the masses, the Republican response is to crush voter turnout and purge anyone who disagrees.

It's not much of a war within GOP if one side keeps getting their way.

It remains to be seen whether this new party will be more moderate in policy, than the current GOP or just as radical conservative as in the past, while upholding democracy.

Yeah, let's see the Trumplican Party win without Moderates and Independents. Good luck to that.

Not a cult

What a disgrace.

More than 120 retired generals and admirals wrote to Biden suggesting he wasn't legitimately elected and questioning his mental health.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/more-120-retired-generals-admirals-100024106.html

Trumplicans are totally out of control. This country is doomed. China and Russia are loving it.

On its website, Flag Officers 4 America says it is a collection of "retired military leaders who pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the US against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

A group of retired military? Sounds like they're swiftboating all over again. Big of them to question Biden's mental health when they're all senile. Go back to bed, bunch of grandpas.

Liz Cheney should come out and say the vote was rigged and demand a recount. Trumplicans love that.

there are serious questions about this vote that aren't being answered.

So they're not making the votes public? Pansies.

I thought Jan 6th was the peak of this craziness, but doesn't seem like it anymore.
