If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

You're right but I didn't catch the 1st rounder part. I know Maclin was one of the top receivers and he fell in our lap. Everyone should've been happy with that pick to give us 2 legit WRs after years of Freddy, Pinkston,  Lewis, and other scrubs. McNabb had his "weaponzzzz!"

Yeah, I don't recall anyone hating on Maclin either. I remember the Dallas fan, Shango, was sick after we got him.

Those were in back to back years, but yes, thus far, the last good receivers I remember us drafting.

I remember watching Smith's highlights and thinking that he didn't even look good in the highlights video.

Wasnt that such a shocker that ESPN had to scramble to load tape on him?

Looks like I missed some angst here.

Reagor is a kid I really liked, just a bit uncomfortable with the value at 21.

There were 3 X-WR that supplied the speed they needed: Ruggs, Reagor and Aiyuk-in that order.

Had Jax not taken the DE, you would have had no receiver............

The thing that made me happiest is that the Eagles kept their draft capital.

Roseman had left the roster in such a state that he lacked ammo to make big moves.

Good.

This team has some holes-and this is a "Noah's Ark" draft in my eyes.  2x2 times 4 positions.

On schedule.

Well heres hoping for a much better night than last night. Girls pick 2 ahead of us and have some of the same needs so I hope they don't screw us again.

Genuinely couldn't believe the pick. Fans are great at hindsight and criticising. Sidney Jones for example looked a reasonable gamble at the time.

But Smith really made no sense at all.

Yeah my son is a UW fan so I saw him live a couple times. I thought that pic was a steal at the time.

This is the year for him to put up or shut up.

Mailata too

I've still not completely given up on him, but it's looking increasingly unlikely.

But at the time he was regarded as a genuine top 15 talent before the injury. Seemed like good value.

Mailata will never be a bust, he was a 7th round project. lol

I'd give him this year. He has made a couple plays for us. Not much, but he's still on a rookie deal and we need secondary help. Maybe this can be the year he starts putting it together.

We knew he was a 2 or 3 year project

But they can't hold on to him forever

Yeah.  I reserve bust label for first 2 rounds.

I think after drafting 2 defensive players the Jags might be willing to cut bait with Yannick for less.  Howie should definitely check. Offer them 53.  Then get WR or LB in Round 3

I just hope we do better than last night. I want some optimism!

Other than the jeffrey move every thing else is conjecture and hyperbole.

Or you would rather not believe it, but you have a bias against Jeffery so it makes that part true...

Well looks like the word is out. We could have jumped the Cowgirls at the cost of a 2nd rounder.

This is a flat out lie. Every team knew the Eagles wanted WR and had leverage. Trading ahead of the Cowboys would have cost double what it normally would because every team knew the Eagles were desperate.

Ummm i think its pretty well documented that howie guaranteed jeffreys contract and is looking to trade him so...

The contract is document. Trading him away has been nothing but speculation from reporters.

I saw a report that there are some 20 players available that have first-round grades by scouts, when a normal year there might be 10 guys. So the team will likely find someone decent, hopefully an impact player on defense.
