This is a flat out lie. Every team knew the Eagles wanted WR and had leverage. Trading ahead of the Cowboys would have cost double what it normally would because every team knew the Eagles were desperate.

Multiple insiders are reporting Atlanta wanted our 2nd to trade.

I saw a report that there are some 20 players available that have first-round grades by scouts, when a normal year there might be 10 guys. So the team will likely find someone decent, hopefully an impact player on defense.

If you want one of those you need top be willing to go BPA probably.

If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

Well looks like the word is out. We could have jumped the Cowgirls at the cost of a 2nd rounder.

It would’ve "included” the second. We don’t know if anything further was involved. No matter, the second rounder we saved will be judged to death. This feels like the Donovan McNabb pick again. I realize the situations are entirely different, but the second we got for him, coupled with the need for a Safety as we tried to replace Dawk, Nate Allen never stood a chance.

To not give up that 2nd to get Lamb. Well both players better equal to be as good or better than Lamb otherwise it was a bad decision by Howie.

Are there any top tier LB's available in the 2nd or 3rd rounds?

The point is it would have cost a lot more than just a 2nd rounder to move up ahead of Dallas.

What is "a lot more?”

Well Reagor certainly is the better fit here. Let's see who we can get in that second round.

I don't really understand all the love for Lamb. He may turn out to be great, but he isn't a sure thing by any means. San Fran passed on him at 13 and then moved up to draft a wr at 25. And if he was really that good, why didn't the Vikings move up?

It seems like people are freaking out because he went to the Cowboys. Hey, I want the Cowboys drafting wrs when they need corners, olinemen and dlinemen. I would rather he get picked by the Cowboys instead of them building a complete team.

Hoping for more of a Miles Sanders than a JJAW, but I really think they need to triple down on this receiver position at least. Howie’s track record for drafting them is horrific at best.

I have seen three or four names mentioned as the best ones available, but none are considered to be elite. Zach Baun is probably the best of the bunch.

No idea. The exact specifics won't come out until much later if the Eagles had attempted to trade up for Lamb.

And I agree that Lamb is also no sure thing. Certainly looks the part of the best WR in the draft though.

If his track record is terrible I'd rather not waste 2 or 3 more picks then. Better off drafting other positions. Target a trade post-draft if that is the case. Belichick is terrible at drafting WR's and some positions but makes up for it with free agent additions/trades.

I liked when Howie went out there and targeted his guy and went and got him like he did with Wentz. I hope Reagor is the guy, but if I’m being honest I feel like he is the lesser prize.

Well the second pick better be outstanding then because we didn't get anywhere near Lamb in who we picked in the 1st.

And we had almost no draft picks for two years after drafting Wentz. It is costly doing that.

People need to chill out about Lamb. The Cowboys desperately needed help on D.

He's not Julio Jones yet.

It was worth it. How did the Browns do with all those picks?

Should offer Indy our first next year for 34 and 44 this year.  This year is stacked and we could walk away with 4 starters in the first 2 rounds...

Howie’s picks:

Riley Cooper 5th round

Marvin McNutt 6th

Jordan Matthews 2nd

Josh Huff 3rd

Mack Hollins 4th

Shelton Gibson 5th

JJAW 2nd

Some of these guys were drafted in the same year; however, if this class is as deep as they claim then they might be able to pull a diamond out of the ruff. Still I understand where you’re coming from about not wanting them to draft more players at WR by a guy who’s clearly bad at doing so.

The Eagles publicly stated they wanted to get faster and younger. Reagor played a majority of his snaps on the outside. Jefferson played a majority of his snaps in the Slot. To me, that explains why they drafted Reagor and not Jefferson. Reagor brings explosive potential as an outside threat and he can return punts and kicks.

I can understand the fit and trying to draft for a specific need in the offense.  Hopefully I’m Wrong about it but I still feel like Jefferson was a better option in terms of translating talent to the nfl.

The pick last night was a boom or bust pick. You shouldn't be doing those in round 1.

This has been on my mind today. The dillard thing looks like something a lower tier franchise would do would do.

Twice this offseason rumors about Dillard being moved has popped up. On top of that the coach mentioned wanting Peters back. Even being nice none of this rings out the Eagles have complete confidence in Dillard.

worst pick of the draft 😆

he makes a good point in that how much Better is reagor than the guy we could have gotten later even at 51st?

I didn't like the pick either but hands down worst pick of the night was the Packers. Waste your 1st rounder on a guy who wont see the field for at LEAST 3 years and piss off your starting HOF QB in the same pick.
