Twice this offseason rumors about Dillard being moved has popped up. On top of that the coach mentioned wanting Peters back. Even being nice none of this rings out the Eagles have complete confidence in Dillard.

This and the Alshon contract extension are just really bad. Both situations look bad around the league.

Didn't Stoutland pound the table for Dillard? Howie did say he wanted to be more aggressive last year but Joe said hold on. I wonder who really influenced the pick.

If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

I don't really understand all the love for Lamb. He may turn out to be great, but he isn't a sure thing by any means. San Fran passed on him at 13 and then moved up to draft a wr at 25. And if he was really that good, why didn't the Vikings move up?

It seems like people are freaking out because he went to the Cowboys. Hey, I want the Cowboys drafting wrs when they need corners, olinemen and dlinemen. I would rather he get picked by the Cowboys instead of them building a complete team.

I agree with you on who picked him and yes, at the end of the day they’re prospects until proven. It would’ve been the normal tantrums on here if he went somewhere else, maybe not as most expected him between 11-13. Where I don’t agree is the thought of "well, their Defense still sucks”. They could go D through the next few and add some interior OL later and be absolutely fine. They generally draft better after round one and they’ve nailed it already taking a player everywhere one expected to be gone. The amount of guys who most had 1st rd grades on are aplenty for them to have their pick tonight. Passing on Chaisson in the first is nothing to lose sleep over.

SF passing is a valid point and I find it odd they gave away so much towards the end of the round to come back and get Aiyuk. Was he truly their #1 or did they panic when Reagor and JJett went with many teams on the back end rumored to be targeting WR? Reagor will be great, I’m sure, but I understand the pain.

Packers looking long term. Not a bad pick per se

arnette was a bad pick

The pick last night was a boom or bust pick. You shouldn't be doing those in round 1.

Nearly every 1st round pick is boom or bust. Nearly every draft pick is. OL/DL tend to be the safe picks in the 1st.

Watch Rodgers demand a trade. He was already unhappy about lack of weapons.

And we had almost no draft picks for two years after drafting Wentz. It is costly doing that.

That’s been a little overblown too. We basically had one year without a first. You know what else has been lost in all that? The trades Howie has made for multiple players (Worley, Tate, Howard, Avery and Darby to name a few) that have depleted the draftpicks as much as the Wentz deal. Not to mention if Howie were better at selecting players we wouldn’t need to give up so many picks!

I can understand the fit and trying to draft for a specific need in the offense.  Hopefully I’m Wrong about it but I still feel like Jefferson was a better option in terms of translating talent to the nfl.

If we drafted him, does he do any better than JJ? He makes a living working the middle of the field, something we already have in Alshon (when healthy), Ertz, Goedert and Ward. Wentz clearly wasn't thrilled about throwing to JJ, so why would they bring in a guy who might be a slight upgrade.

We have a guy who likes to throw the ball a long way. The correct approach was to get a receiver who can fit that skill set.

It makes all the sense in the world to fit players to your system. You don't draft Wentz and then bring in receivers suited for Kurt Cousins.

There were far worse picks than the Eagles last night. A bunch had my scratching my head. Herbert at 6 was the typical strong arm QB that won't translate to the NFL.

Plus even if it wasnt overblown still worth it.

Maybe next year. Who wants to pay for him now? NE?

Rodgers, unlike Farve, has class.

I’m sure Stoutland thought he could make a player out or Warmack too. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Still I’m not sure what concerns me more. The fact the Eagles are willing to move their next future bookend or the report that nobody wants him.

worst pick of the draft 😆

he makes a good point in that how much Better is reagor than the guy we could have gotten later even at 51st?

Yikes. Im trying to be positive about this. I hope we didn't blow it once again in a historic draft.

Jordan Matthews in historic draft, pumphrey, sweat.... Reagor needs to be impressive.

I was very high on Jefferson.

I totally agree with that!

Can't wait for Jefferson to never see the field because the Vikings and Zimmer don't run much 11 personnel.

Ok, we're back on. Get your game faces on!

God that would be horrible.

The contract is document. Trading him away has been nothing but speculation from reporters.

So speculation about dilliard being traded = concern over howie but speculation by reporters about jeffrey = ???

His own family and alot of former teammates disagree. They could be lying I dunno.

Multiple insiders are reporting Atlanta wanted our 2nd to trade.

If you want one of those you need top be willing to go BPA probably.

No way I’d have done that deal.

26 minutes ago, Devaster said:

Are there any top tier LB's available in the 2nd or 3rd rounds?

The point is it would have cost a lot more than just a 2nd rounder to move up ahead of Dallas.

Baun and Logan Wilson and Uche are the 3 best.

17 minutes ago, Uscg-green said:

Well the second pick better be outstanding then because we didn't get anywhere near Lamb in who we picked in the 1st.

 you don’t know that one way or the other.

15 minutes ago, ManchesterEagle said:

People need to chill out about Lamb. The Cowboys desperately needed help on D.

He's not Julio Jones yet.

He will most likely never be Julio. Julio is in the tier with Rice Moss TO Megatron Johnson etc. And how much did that do for Atlanta?

Well here we go. Heres hoping for a better night.

The reports were "at least" our 2nd.

What Farve did to Rodgers was down right horrible. Rodgers will not treat the rookie the same way. we shall see.
