The suburbs tend to turn elections one way or the other. The question is, how do suburbanites see themselves? Do you really think they're offended when country folks are labeled as hillbillies? Or when people in cities are labeled as criminals? I don't think they care either way. In fact, I think they largely agree with both of those assessments. Well when every time you attempt to watch a national news show and there's democrats telling them they're racist just for being white it might alienate some of them. That and Fing with their kids like in VA. Nothing will motivate them more. Democrats need to stop the race baiting and pushing woke agendas and instead need to focus on their local issues and economic issues if they don't want to F up 2022 and 2024. Trump motivated a lot of people to go to the polls against him. IF, and that's a big if, Trump keeps his nose out of things there will be a lot of disappointed democrats. Because what they're pushing right now is driving away a lot of swing voters.

They literally couldn't go 24 hours without accusing every single person who voted for Youngkin of racism. Republicans elect the first black Lt. Governor in the state's history and dem talking heads still can't stop themselves from going on racial tirades. The problem is their entire platform is built around calling the other side racist. It's literally all they know.

Yea I mean, we all know politicians can be self-absorbed narcissists, but that dude took the attention-whoring to a whole other galaxy. Nobody's even close to that. Not a snowballs chance in hell he keeps quiet about the midterms, let alone the general in '24.

Whether or not they see it as another cuckoo conspiracy is really irrelevant. In large part, it is just drummed up, planned right wing outrage designed to create a new wedge issue. So you shut it down by agreeing and saying it has no place in the classroom. Be even louder about it than the right. If it's not real, then it's no loss, no harm.

Don't do that. Democrats prove again and again that, in their minds, being "right" and "enlightened" is more important than being elected. 2 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: Take a look at some of the stuff I posted in the critical race theory thread

You saying he represents all the voters who voted Republican in Virginia this week? Or did you want me to go more than a week back in the thread to hunt something down that you think you remember posting?

Well, I don't think it's a bad practice, in a lot of cases, to argue against the insanely stupid conspiracies on the right. For instance, telling Republicans they're delusional crybabies for believing Trump won the election is the right course of action. But with CRT it's an easy layup. Even if you know it's drummed up nonsense, you agree and shout louder than they do. Worst case, some stupid, surface level equity nonsense is taken out of a high school classroom that students don't listen to or care about anyway. Seems like a win-win.

So of course they're going to die on the hill defending it lmfao
