Back when I lived in Maine one of my aunts wanted to have a family reunion in Georgia in August.  I said to my wife "we’re not going.”  Lol

Yeah unless you are directly on the coast that's a hard pass. Granted I'm sure people say the same about the north too. Different strokes.

Thank God we have Trump to tamp down the more radical voices in his party.

I can haz "very vocal" yet? lmfao

He's getting there if he keeps this flame war up.  Dollar short, something late but hey, I will gladly give him the credit if he finally becomes a prominent voice for taking the vaccine.

To each their own but man I really don't get that. Few places I'd rather be than the south east in the summer time. Gladly trade a few months of 95 degrees and 300% humidity for a few months of cold.

The southwest is more interesting to me if you want warm weather. But too many water issues and the areas I'd most want to live are in southern California, no way I'm retiring there just to have the state eat into my 401k.

I hate humidity though so Florida is out.

South east Texas is interesting. I have time though.

F the desert and the scorpions and tarantulas

"Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get it, it's a very minor form," Trump continued. "People aren't dying when they take the vaccine."

Even this idiot understands it lol.

Anywhere near the coast in Texas is very humid. Houston and New Orleans and everything in between is pretty bad in the summer. As you get further away from the coast though into what they call Hill Country it’s not as bad.

When my kids are out of the house I'm gonna RV the country for a couple years. South in the winter and north in the summer.

Truth.  Connecting through Houston once I remember the jet bridge roughly having the heat and humidity of hell.  And when I was in NOLA working on a project from may-october, I purposely picked a hotel that was connected to the client building.  Many weeks the only time I stepped outside was when I was dropped off from and picked up to go to the airport.

It’s so bad I almost started drinking sweet tea in the summertime.  Almost @NOTW

The southwest is very nice, hot but no humidity and that does make a huge difference.

I quit sugary drinks years ago, only on occasion. Other than morning coffee I drink water all day. And alcohol.

vs hurricanes in FL or drought in the SW? I guess I can deal.

alternative is finding some place in Mexico where the dollar will go far. but that seems pretty dodgy unless things change a lot.

got at least 20 years to figure it out tho.
