Schmoopies sister works on the COVID unit and they are hurting right now at her hospital.  Not only are they getting a ton of patients, but the staff is going down too so they are even more short handed.

@Procus says for her to man up, it's only a cold. He believes the medical personnel are exaggerating being so busy.

Hey everyone.  Im still in the hospital.  No ventilator.  No visitors.  Breathing treatments multiple times a day. Chest xrays every other day. Pulse oxygen is 89% with a nonrebreather mask running fu

  • Update  Surgery was a success. Mom has been home since this afternoon. Some pain, but good otherwise and they got the entire tumor.  Thanks all for the well wishes and prayers.

Wearing a mask isn't a treatment if you use Procus's logic.  Getting a vaccine to reduce your risk of getting a more severe cold that needs medical attention isn't logical either.

He also thinks many were just being fearful by wanting to test before visiting with their families. What is wrong with that?

My wife is seeing the same at her hospital.

THe fake virus from China will magically go away soon. Regardless, you should try anti-malaria and anti-parasite drugs, also colloidal silver, bleach shots and internal UV light, just to be safe.

Whatever you do, don't wash your hands, wear a mask, distance or get vaccinated. It would mean turning in your Freedom.

Oh, a l California physician.  Well, he has a blue check so he must be the authority.  Oh, and there's a graph too!

There have been a few here, and quite a few of their family members (yours truly included), who contracted Covid in this latest wave.  We are all fine, thank you.  But let's nevertheless get into a fear induced frenzy brought on by the psychopaths on this thread.  Great idea!

I was referring to this statement from earlier today.

My apology about the mask, wrong poster.  That was Ali Babba or WTF his name is

I talked to an old colleague today whose wife is a nurse in a large hospital over here (works the COVID wards) and she is seeing nothing at all at her hospital and says it is the same in the large Swedish metro areas.  Denmark and Norway and most other places in Europe getting crushed.  Strange.

A neighbor is an ER doc and said last week was a s***show. But I bet it's super reassuring for them to keep hearing how this is all just a mild cold and that we need to just get on with life. It's unfortunate that nobody seems to care if nurses and doctors would like to get on with life too. Not to mention anyone else that might need medical attention for non-covid reasons when waiting rooms for ERs, urgent cares, and even just appts for PCPs are all packed.

Here's a newsflash - before Covid, ERs were frequently overwhelmed during flu season.

Has nothing to do with a combination of shortages created through vaccine mandates along with the rush that frequently happens during cold and flu season.

Masking, you ignorant tool, is mostly about preventing YOU from infecting others.

This is why it is SOP in ORs, and when visiting patients with immune issues, like burn victims. The mask LESSENS your risk of spreading infection.

That you morons still wring your panties about masks is incredulous.

I don't give a damn what you fools tell yourselves to rationalize stupidity. The wearing of silly cloth masks does not prevent the spreading of viruses. The morons in that office demonstrate the point quite nicely.

Oh he must've been lying when he said "worst it's ever been." I'll be sure to correct him next time I see him. Thanks for the insight, Seattle Slew.

Yah, because all those other years, they also had staff shortages created by moronic vaccine mandates.  Try again Olbermann.

Ya it's the mandates that are causing problems, not the endless flood of unvaccinated morons reaching out for help when faced with the consequences of their own stupid choices.

Yeah...it's bad out there.

Last call my wife had 2 urgent preterm deliveries cause of respiratory distress in the mother's.  Babies are ok. 1 mom intubated. Also had a 19 week fetal demise which is rough.

I've had just a crazy number of positives this past week. Testing centers are around the block lines for drive up and week+ waits for scheduled visits. Only a few sick ones but did send a young kid with an immunodeficiency to the ED this weekend who is in rough shape.

The burn out is real.

Central Bucks School District (one of the largest in the state) was closed today not due to weather but JUST staff over 70 are out.  That is not due a mandate!!

@Procus thinks because he washed a handful of dirt down with his glass of grass juice yesterday he is immunized against Covid like his hero Aaron Rodgers.

Actually, Procus has something at the moment that put him down this weekend.  Nothing major - just tired most of the time and some sneezing.  Procus also has a couple of vaccinated friends who tested positive for Covid who are recovering.  Funny, huge Covid list for the Eagles this week - most of the players having been vaccinated.

Lots of vaccinated people get covid, Soy Boy. I thought this has been gone over at length, but I guess some people are extremely slow on the uptake.

God bless those doctors and nurses selflessly volunteering their time to care for those unvaccinated heathens who definitely don’t deserve it! (That obviously doesn’t include the unvaccinated doctors and nurses)

Obviously, since those idiots are mostly collecting unemployment.

If a vaccine is the hill you morons want to die on, so be it.

Funny that none of the eagles vaccinated players died from Covid either.  Strange.

Temper, temper.

Masks, even cloth masks, LESSEN the spread of airborne droplets that might contain viruses. I am sorry if this simple medical fact is too much for your tiny brain.

You are probably the administrator of a hospital deep in the heart of Trump country, aren't you? Fired people for being vaccinated? No doubt.
