Ya gotta love it. This one new girl at my tutoring center looks like a blob and gets winded simply from walking down the aisle. If anyone should wear a mask, it should be her (the center doesn't require them), but she doesn't.

Last call my wife had 2 urgent preterm deliveries cause of respiratory distress in the mother's.  Babies are ok. 1 mom intubated. Also had a 19 week fetal demise which is rough. 

I've had just a crazy number of positives this past week. Testing centers are around the block lines for drive up and week+ waits for scheduled visits. Only a few sick ones but did send a young kid with an immunodeficiency to the ED this weekend who is in rough shape. 

The burn out is real. 

My friend who is a pediatrician in North Canton, OH is tweeting the same kind of stuff.

There are 75 elementary staff members in my wife’s district out for at least one day this week with many out for multiple days. They’re having trouble covering everything.   stupid cold season!  🙄

Of course it was much worse.  Two friends of mine died.  One was unvaccinated.  The second was FULLY VACCINATED!!!!

I went to Canada this summer, as soon as the border opened.  You needed to be fully vaccinated AND produce a negative Covid test from within 72 hours to drive across.  Canada specifically bans rapid antigen tests because of their unreliability.  They only accept PCR tests.

I was voluntarily working through it the whole time most of you were boarded up in your houses for months. I find this and much more funnier than you'll ever know. 

Probably why I'm generally happier. I really wish they'd just lock down the paranoid again.

Oh wow a true American hero didn’t miss a shift at Wendy’s this whole time.  I’m pretty sure many of us, if not all of us continued to work through it but our employers were doing what they could to help lessen the spread and lower our risk.  But keep patting yourself on the back for taking the bullets for us in the front line of the burger flipping….Fing tool.
