 Illiterate as always, she's asymptomatic and we can't send her back to school until we get a negative test. She's gonna miss tomorrow too because we still haven't got the results back.

Nothing scarfed me, friend. Both my kids have been vaccinated since late November, I was just pointing out that omicron recently eliminated the only approved treatment option for the under 12 group. It's rare that kids get hospitalized for this, but it's still happening often enough for children's hospitals to be at capacity. Wish you best of luck with your unvaccinated kids.

The whole "only half are hospitalized due to COVID" argument is so Fing stupid.  Nationally hospitals are wildly short staffed and we're in peak respiratory season, but yeah a few extra thousand hospitalizations are just NBD. I had to literally beg an immunocompromised patient with a fever to go the ED a few weeks ago because they didn't want to sit for hours. That being after I had another one die of gram negative sepsis earlier this year who didn't want to do for the same reason.  Wife found a giant mass in a woman's ovary today.  She's referred to the oncologists but even cancer surgeries are on hold for the foreseeable future.  Gonna see a baby tomorrow in the nursery tomorrow alone because mom is on ECMO from COVID.  That will be the 4th COVID positive mother of a baby I've seen this month, but thankfully only the second one with a Fing plastic tube in their throat.  Wifey is only on #3, but ya know that doesn't include the 2 late term spontaneous abortions so I guess she "wins".

Words cannot express how infuriating it is to see a bunch of ignorant C-students act like this is even remotely normal or mild.  

Finally out of the woods with COVID and flurona making its way around our house. Everyone with the exception of our youngest, who was vaccinated, was laid up at some point. It was the sickest a couple of us have ever been.

Such a dumb argument!  There’s Better chance you die from a car accident than a cavity but I bet you brush your teeth every day.  I bet you also learned to swim so you don’t drown, look both ways before crossing a street, and have anti slip duckies on the bottom of your tub so you don’t slip and die in the shower.  What else do you do in your every day life that you make decisions based on the death probabilities.  Your mom probably cuts your hot dogs into halves so you don’t choke on them too.  But yeah when it comes to a deadly virus, just F all the precautions.

I work from home, so I’m good. My kids both had Covid already in 2020. Shocking, but they both survived their head cold. But feel free to go shoot your kid up for no reason.
