Tell that to the Israelis. They're pumping that crap at an alarming rate and still have 60% of hospitalized.

first of all, that figure is 6 mos old.

second, you're falling for the same base rate fallacy that Kz does.

if nearly 100% of high risk individuals are vaccinated, you're going to get a lot of individuals who are vaccinated in the hospital.  this is the case in Israel.

you have to look at the per capita rates. among ALL vaccinated in Israel, a very small percentage end up hospitalized. among ALL unvaccinated, a MUCH HIGHER percentage are hospitalized.

extreme example to illustrate: say there's 100 people. 95 of them get vaccinated.

4 of the 5 unvaccinated end up in the hospital. 6 of the 95 vaccinated end up in the hospital.

60% of the people in the hospital are vaccinated. HOW CAN THE VACCINE BE EFFECTIVE OMGZ!??!?

well, 6 of the 95 - or 6.3% - vaccinated ended up in the hospital.  meanwhile 80% of the unvaccinated did.

the tweet @we_gotta_believe shared shows rates, which is the correct approach. it's the rate per 100k of population that was hospitalized. THAT is the correct number when comparing populations of significant varying sides.

the 60% are hospitalized is clickbait for idiots.

Should the hospital treat all of the Covid patients or only the 6 that have been vaccinated from the example above?

Good news.  The dam is beginning to break.

Arrested? On what grounds, trespassing? Where was the kid's parent? Yael Becker might be doing a bit of editorializing.

If they have room all. If not enough beds the vaxed get priority, even if the only reason being it will make the anti vaxers cry.

they arrested the kid & took her straight to a library in gitmo to be read to by a transgender!  :furious:

 She wasn't arrested, there were no handcuffs.  They just threw her in an ukn' paddywagon as part of the museum experience.

If you watch the full video, her parents were arrested for protesting.  You think the cops were supposed to do what?  Leave the kid alone at the museum?

Well thank goodness those officers were there to arrest those protesters then!  Crime is running rampant in major cities all over the country and we're out here arresting anti-vax protesters

Be sure to report back on how their boots taste, ****.

When we call you rubes stupid and uneducated, it's posts like this that are the reason.

You just keep googling your fancy words and posting them in here to make yourself feel like a biggie boy.  Try your best, and someday maybe you'll get to lick Fauci's boots!

depends on capacity. in a perfect world, all other things being equal (other things being Covid severity for example) ,we'd want to prioritize vaccinated over unvaxxed. not only because they actually made a decision that helped them avoid the worst, but they're likely to have the highest survivability numbers due to their vaccination status. (on that last point I'd be perfectly ok with prior Covid infection being treated the same as a vaccination)

the question comes when you have a hospital operating at capacity. who do you prioritize when you have limited resources? it gets murky and messy, but it's appalling to me that people are getting delayed in life saving cancer treatments or getting shorted care for a heart attack because resources are being exhausted on unvaccinated individuals who are likely to have not needed such a high level of care had they not lived in an alternate reality.

Which word did he use that you considered "fancy"?

Rock star Meat Loaf, who died Thursday night at the age of 74, was reportedly sick with COVID-19.

While the official cause of death for the Grammy-winning musician, real name Marvin Lee Aday, has not yet been revealed, TMZ reported Friday that the "Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” singer had to cancel a business dinner earlier this week after becoming "seriously ill with COVID.”

According to the outlet, sources said his health deteriorated quickly after that. TMZ added that the chart-topper had been outspoken against COVID vaccine mandates in Australia.

It’s unclear if he was vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus.

sheet...if the report is true, it looks like the rona may have gotten mr. loaf. that sucks.
