The vast majority of those hospitalized are elderly whether vaccinated or not.

So once you take kids out of the equation, around 80% of adults in Israel are vaccinated which counts for 60% of hospitalizations. The remaining 20% that are unvaccinated accounts for 40% of hospitalizations. So you're more likely to end up in the hospital if unvaccinated. 87% of hospitalizations are age 60 and over.

Exclude kids from this group and you're looking at vaccination rates north of 80% for the general adult population. Look at the most at-risk - the elderly, etc. - and you're over 90%, with a lot of them also having gotten the booster. Thank you for making my point.
