 I like Tom Brady just fine and he has been sporting the MAGA hat for years. He's actually a winner though. Rodgers can't complete a pass even when Josh Norman is on the field

1-8 in his playoff career when losing at half. No Brady comebacks from this HOFer :towel:

 Well Favre was the QB in their 2002 and 2007 losses but the general gist is there. Rodgers is 5-4 at home in the playoffs. Guess the home field advantage isn't as great when Rodgers is your QB. Good thing they were on the road for every game in 2010.

If you can upgrade at QB, you do it. I'd prefer a young guy too but older guys can play a lot longer now that they are untouchable. The draft looks bare. Trades cost too much. The dreaded QB carousel is staring us right in the face.

Tell Joe Burrow QBs are untouchable. Jeffrey Simmonds sacked that MFer stepping out of the shower this morning.

Agreed. They’re moronic. As Marie Antoinette once famously said, "Let them eat paste!”

Not so fast. My Cowboy rants will have you thinking I'm Stephen A.

The only test you should be concerned about is the breathalyzer machine hooked up to your ignition.

I've tested unvaccinated kids for several of those.

It also took decades to fully wipe out Polio, and requires 3 boosters. Using the polio vaccine as some kind of proof positive that the COVID vaccine sucks is moronic.

Again, it took literally decades and multiple boosters to get to that point for those vaccines. And even then Measles killed about 200k in 2019, with about 1200 cases even in the US. The vaccine was rolled out in the 60s.

You don't know what you're talking about. Stick to **** cartoons.

Competely get her frustration, but she's making some huge logical leaps here.

1) pretending that she was told "get the vaccine and things will go back to normal is kinda silly.  Besides the fact that vaccines are pretty much never one-and-done or 100% effective, the need for boosters and adjustments was well known from the start. As evidenced by the fact that the ability to adjust the vaccine target on the fly was one of the initial selling points of the mRNA vaccines.

2) you know who also doesn't approve of cloth masks? The CDC. She's whining about an issue they already addressed.

3) pretending that we haven't made any progress since last year is asinine. We're in peak season amidst a new outbreak and the CDC just halved the quarantine time. Stores, camps, sports, theaters, restaurants are all still open which was not the case last year at all. Yes I'd like to be totally back to normal too but we've made huge headway.

4) I agree that school closures should be an absolute last resort and there are places that are pulling the plug way too quickly. However give me a Fing break with the "catastrophic moral crime" bs. No kids aren't dying en masse from Omicron. They are however clogging up hospital systems and spreading it to others.  And no, school closures are not the only reason for the rise in mental health problems. I have 2 patients with long term sequelae from COVID infection with pretty significant depression (imagine being weak and without taste for almost a year now). Several who have lost caregivers (parents or grandparents). And one immunocompromised kid who died because he refused to go to the ED for a fever like he was supposed to because he knew the wait would be horrific. Framing the question as "do we hurt the kids or not?" is completely disingenuous. Its about what approach we can take that's going to hurt kids the least. Which is a topic absolutely worth discussing.

Again COVID sucks. I get the frustration. But the arguments she's making are just flat out naive and/or ignorant.

First Weinstein and now whoever this is, Maher really has a knack for finding morons and giving them a platform.

If he keeps this up, he's gonna start competing for viewers with Rogan.

Ivermectin Prophylaxis Used for COVID-19: A Citywide, Prospective, Observational Study of 223,128 Subjects Using Propensity Score Matching

Quote

Ivermectin has been demonstrated to have not only extensive anti-parasitic actions [1,2], but also anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-protozoan properties. Ivermectin has been long proposed for use as a repurposed antiviral agent [3-6]. Indeed, antiviral effects of ivermectin have been reported against both RNA and DNA types of viruses, including HIV-1, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, tick-borne encephalitis, West Nile, Zika, dengue fever, chikungunya, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, and the pseudorabies virus [3,5,7,8], as well as functioning in regulation of proteins involved in antiviral responses [8].

Move over penicillin, there's a new king in town.

How many of those cases were vaccinated.

I actually do understand vaccines.  I worked in the industry for over 25 years.  Besides the cartoons I get science.

I mean I'm fine with him having opposing views on. But his whole appeal used to be he had multiple views around the table discussing a topic. Literally anyone with a medical or public health background could refute a lot of what she's saying.

We keep having Measles outbreaks, because unvaxxed a-holes travel to coutrnies with Measles and then bring it home to the US and spread it around their stupid communities of idiots.

Clearly you don't if you're trying to compare the efficacy of vaccines that have existed for 50 years and undergone extensive international efforts at global eradication that took decades in multiple cases, to one that was invented about a year ago amidst a a novel pandemic.

This kinda sounds like when WV Mike talked about knowing how hospitals work because he installed the HVAC system in one.

Ivermectin is second only to penicillin in the number of lives saved. No other drug has been as successful. Now it's dropping covid mortality rates by 68%.

Listen to these stats:

Incredible.

Opposing views are fine for abortion, capital punishment, fiscal policy, etc.

It's not fine for objective science. There's no opposing view to basic biology, chemistry, physics, etc. It's exactly what made Rogan popular because he gives airtime to these UFO chasing idiots, and then stoners across the world join hands so they can feel extrospective because they're challenging authority and "asking questions."

So you are in agreement, they want to make $$$.  So if it was effective, they would pimp it as an alternative.

If making my wife coffee and lunch a few times a week counts, I also work in the pharmaceutical industry developing vaccines!
