My immediate concern would be whether the wavelength and intensity needed to stop droplet spread in its tracks would be otherwise safe to be radiated into a room at all times. UV light is terrible for your skin (tanning beds are one of the easiest ways to give yourself cancer) so having it bombarded into a room 24/7 would need to be looked at very carefully. Consider me skeptical.

Sadly there are people that would risk the skin cancer to kill the virus even if it was a 80% chance of getting skin cancer before the age of 60

I think they mean for use in heating and a/c ventilation systems not shining down on you

Then that won't help nearly as much. The primary mode of transmission is thought to be droplet spread. That is, when someone talks or breathes, the tiny droplets come flying out of their mouth are then directly inhaled by a person in proximity to them. Coughing and sneezing produce even smaller droplets which can be suspended in the air for longer periods of time. So while air exchange systems can help mitigate risk with the latter, they do nothing for the former.

When I worked in HVAC we used to sell UV lights.  They don't work, just saying.
