December 18, 20205 yr He let him off easy. What a deek. So, we finally have our first mask recommendation in Sweden. We are not recommended to wear masks on public transportation in rush hour. Alcohol sales in restaurants also dropping to stopping at 8pm and you can have a party of max 4 visiting a restaurant together. Also, I spoke with a Dutch guy and there was no mask mandate of any kind in the Netherlands until the end of November. So not just Sweden it seems.
December 18, 20205 yr Swedish weekly numbers now in: Overall the 2nd wave continues in a plateau of sorts. Deaths and admitted patients climb slightly higher to about 60% of peak 1st wave numbers. Looks like we are in the deep part here and the authorities seem really nervous about the Xmas period clamping down with some increased measures and recommendations. Nothing terribly dramatic but more tightening and more scare tactics. We even had a national alert type SMS sent out. That has never happened before and we don't have anything like the Amber system. It didn't say much at all but I suppose they wanted to test the system live. Maybe the stay in place and prepare for vaccine and chip insertion is just around the corner.
December 18, 20205 yr I’m not going to post the entire thread here but this thread about how the Pfizer and moderna vaccines work to fight the virus is quite brilliant and gives me hope. Read if you are interested in a vaccines primer

December 18, 20205 yr 40% of people tested in Stockholm region now with antibodies. Once the vaccine kicks in we will smash thru quickly.

Perfect for us biologically challenged accounting brains.

It should be based on who's at the most risk of exposure from their job. Nurse, tech, doc, whatever. And don't ask residents to cover icu shifts during a pandemic, but not consider them high priority vaccine recipients. They're in training, not indentured servants.
