The important thing is find something you dig and keep doing it.

This. I also love my Apple Watch. It motivates me to move and exercise when I’m falling behind my goals. When I was watching the eagles post game show it pinged me and told me to go for a brisk walk to hit my goals for the day. So I did. Instead of cracking open another beer and watching Ray Dddy and Seth complain about how bad the birds were.

I’ve hit my daily move, exercise, and standing goals every day since I’ve had it.

Not to be nosy, but what do you have your calories goal set at? And I forget, does it automatically set the exercise goal or do you choose that as well?

I'm getting the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine this Saturday (moved up from early January)

Johns Hopkins made a video about vaccination. Catchy!

Here are my thoughts, but I am clearly no medical expert:

1. Restaurants -- what we were doing in LA over the summer seemed to work fine. Masks and face shields for employees, tables six feet apart, everyone wears a mask when not seated at a table with your party. Limit party sizes to 6-8 people. The wife and I felt totally safe going out to dinner since we were really only maskless around each other. Now, it is hard for restaurants in places like NYC to operate with the required distancing given the need to pack people in, but I really don't get the drive to close sit down dining with reasonable precautions. It's not like people are walking from table to table.

2. Gyms -- this one is more difficult, and luckily the home gym means I don't have to think much about it. My wife's best friend owns gyms and has been crushed by this. It's harder since you have people exhaling vigorously. Maybe using every other machine and mandating people wear masks while exercising would do the trick. I wouldn't go to a gym that allowed people to work out next to me without a mask.

3. Bars -- bars just can't be safe with COVID, full stop. No chance in hell I want to be at a bar with people congregating while getting intoxicated.

4. Other large gatherings (concerts, sporting events, etc.) -- best to just go with no attendance, or mandate masks and distancing.

I go to a meathead bodybuilder gym, so not a mask in sight. Luckily it’s some guys passion project with a low square footage and low attendance. I think it has like less than 50 members total. And when I go there’s no one there.

Yeah, bars are a stupid idea. But also they need a Fn bailout and they’re not getting one.

Christmas Tree loggers got $200M though, so they’re good. Also, guess how strong Christmas tree sales are this year.

A friend of mine works part time at a Christmas tree farm.  They had their best year, basically ever.  Sold out like 2 weeks before Christmas.  They never sell out.  AND, that's with ordering additional trees this year in anticipation of higher sales.

The tree farm I got mine from told me they sold 3400 trees this year

What's funny is my wife asked for the Peloton for Christmas 2 years ago. I 100% thought it was a trap -- if I bought it, she'd think I was calling her out of shape (for the record, she is a petite Chinese woman who never gains weight despite eating like a teenager). She stopped using it after a few months (it was...uncomfortable, so she uses the elliptical and rowing machine now), but then I got addicted. Has been a God send during the pandemic.

This reminds me of the episode of Family Matters where Carl buys his B of a wife Harriette an exercise trampoline for Christmas.  Great move Carl.

This should be a topic.  I'd like to put Jill from Home Improvement and Debra from Everybody Loves Raymond in a tag team cage match (with weapons) against the Bushwackers on Monday night raw (not even sure if that's still a thing).

Edit:  If I had to vote, it would be Harriette.  Carl was a cop with the utmost integrity where he put his life on the line multiple times because it was the right thing to do.  He was an incredible father to a bunch of bratty, entitled a-holes, Laura especially.  If that's not enough, he took in the genius, accident prone nerd from next door whose parents apparently didn't exist (even though they were alive and next door), and allowed him to build a DNA alteration machine that not only made him cool but allowed him to smash his own daughter under his own roof.

Hey Harriette.  Take the exercise trampoline, and STFU.

Trivia question - Family Matters was a spinoff from what show? Hint - Harriett was the actor on the other show.

Ooh ooh I know this one!  But I’ll let this one play out since you just asked.  See if anyone else knows.

I looked it up but, that is a bit of a stretch for them to consider that a spin-off. I remembered her character as soon as I seen the show though.

I gave the answer after googling it but then deleted it when I saw your response lol.

I'm 39.  Should I know the answer?  I can't believe I don't.  I'll guess one of these three - "All in the Family," "The Jeffersons," or "Mama's Family."

Harriett was the elevator operator on...

My god dude you are going back into the late 70's early 80's lol. Think late 80's and early 90's. I just turned 40 so you should definitely have an idea. Think tgif

Yeah hell of a job, an elevator operator for like a 2 story building while Carl is risking his life and putting up with an idiot nerd and a dumb as bricks son and a **** daughter. @hputenis knows what's up lol

"The jeffersons" and "all in the family" were in the same universe.

I was thinking she was a kid on one of those shows and we'd have no idea.  😂

I like where this thread is going.  I can't believe this, but Saved by the Bell was only on for 4 total seasons.  Those bastids made all that magic between 1989-1992.  I guess 30 episodes a season makes more sense, but if that was a trivia question, I'd guess that show was on for 10 years.

FYI - This doesn't include the college years when Zack took roids and was bigger than Slater.

This wouldn't qualify for me as worst TV moms/wife.  Her husband is a fat, balding shoe salesman that hates his own kids, and that's the "schtick."  The show's existence relies on these 2 hating each other and their own children while Al puts his hand down his pants with horrendous fake laughter in the background.  I actually do enjoy the show by the way.

**Ironically (and I think I have used this word perfectly here), you may have a very solid argument for the worst TV mom ever.  You just picked the wrong show dude!
