OK, two libs think it's funny to mock the death of a 41-year-old with 2 young children because he's republican. Awesome.

No. Mocking you is funny because of how much effort you put into trolling. You keep missing the part where you are being mocked, not the guy who died.

Get better - lots of vitamin C and fluids - and keep us posted.  Prayers for the recovery of you both.

Yep, pounding Vitamin C, Zinc, Fluids.....just feels like a bad cold/flu....so far that is.  Hoping this is all it is......keep hearing horror stories about how it was like this...and next thing you know the person was in a hospital!

Serious question. Did family matters and Die Hard exist in the same universe?  Carl is a cop in both and could easily have changed his name....

Well he was a cop named Al located in los Angeles in diehard before becoming a cop named carl located in Chicago in family matters. Supposedly got the Family matters role because of his work as a cop in die hard. One could say he faked his death in los Angeles to go to simpler times as a neighborhood cop in family matters.

Not to be nosy, but what do you have your calories goal set at? And I forget, does it automatically set the exercise goal or do you choose that as well?

It will ask you to choose between light, moderate, or heavy exercise. Moderate is 750, but I usually go way over that.

Mine is set at 900 calories a day.  Most days I do a pretty intense workout when I get home - anywhere from 400-600 calories burned.  Even with that, it's tough to hit that mark.  Just goes to show how little you burn with an office job, unless you force yourself to get up and move around a lot.

Hope it stays this way for you too.  Don't be kissing on the gf too much so she doesn't add to your viral load!

Add D3 to your regiment.  Take care!

Yeah I work in an office too, but have been working from home since March. Working from home has made it much easier to get steps in and burn calories. I go for walks during my lunch break and sometimes during phone meetings.

I am totally jealous of all the folks who get to work from home.  If it came to it, I do a job that I could do 75% from home, but my owners are scared of technology.  I was on vacation once, and there was a problem only I could solve, so I remoted in to my office computer and showed my manager who was sitting in fromt of my desk what to do.  My owners lost their ish.  They are afraid people could steal company secrets, but they are computer illiterate, and don't even realize I could do something like that with a flash drive, and its not like we have anything worth stealing anyways.

It’s amazing how little the a holes in charge of most companies know about technology. I’ve spent most of my career trying to explain to these jokers why we need to invest in tech but they rarely listen. To be an IT leader in this day and age you also have to be a good salesman so you can sell leadership on why they need to invest heavily in IT infrastructure. The idea of buying new servers for example just isn’t sexy, and they often can’t see how it will impact revenue, which let’s face it, is all they care about. My current company is better about it than my past employers though (I currently work for a non profit).

Im only working from home now because of Covid, but I’m going to push back hard against going back to the office when it’s finally over. I have to keep stupid hours. Most days I’m in meetings until 9:30 or 10 at night. I’ve already told my boss and our CEO that I’m not going back to waking up at 6, getting in the office by 8, leaving at 4, then doing evening meetings from 6 to 10. They don’t pay me nearly enough for that. At least working from home I can work in breaks, pick my kids up from school, get dinner in, get some exercise in, etc.

Yep.  Owner of our company is a car guy.  We run a program on our server that most local PC's do not have the processing speed to handle efficiently.  Any time I bring it up, I get " do you want me to hook up a 345 hemi to it ".  Makes me want to lose my ish.

Hilarious.  I run the problem child department, no one else really knows how to do what I do, and no one wants to learn.  Good thing is the boss knows I handle my business, so while everyone is in his office being babysat to make sure they are doing their job, I don't have to deal with any of that.  Gives me a lot of leeway for other activities, like being on the EMB all day.

I’ll admit that’s been a problem in my career. I can’t hide my contempt for their ignorance. Even though I say the right things, when they make stupid remarks like that my body language just seems to scream "good lord you’re an idiot”.

I am good for a melt down once a week.  My owner is kind of a poosay though, so you really have to go over the top to get fired.  We had an employee call his wife, the VP a see you in Toledo and he still works here.  We had another guy smoke weed in a company vehicle, with a fellow employee who was going through police reserve training, got fired, and then rehired in a week.

Wearing masks all the time has its advantages. Now all you really need to control us your eyes and arms.
