January 18, 20215 yr Update....basically back after the interaction with the Chinese Flu!! Took about two weeks to run its course. Again...all and all, pretty lucky. Was really tired/fatigued, achy....f'ing joints hurt like even in my knuckles. But that's it.....back to normal now. Never had breathing issues, fevers (only one day) and fortunately never lost my sense of taste/smell. Girlfriend also the same although....she actually had her first shot yesterday. She is in healthcare/senior living and her company is like...either get the shot or you cannot work here. So now the big question, now that I've had it.....does that prevent me from getting the new strain(s). Does it at least make it more difficult to get? I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN!!!

You’ll have antibodies that should protect you from 5 - 8 months from what I read. There are cases of people being reinfected, as to new strains, I don’t think they have enough data yet. Still follow CDC guidelines, but good change you’ll get vaccinated before your antibody level is too low. I had it too, but not as bad as you.
